Shouldn't imagine there'll be much interest in this on here but I'm very excited about this weekend.

In particular I wanted tickets to see Foals on Sunday night (what with it being my birthday and that).

When tickets went on sale, it went a bit like this:

*click* - "Not available"
*click* - "Not available"
*click* - "Not available"
*click* - "Sold Out"

ARGH!

But then, through sheer luck, I've managed to get tickets from a friend of a friend. On top of that we managed to get tickets from a friend for Saturday night at Motion too!

So we'll be seeing Suede, Daughter (YES!), Tricky, Roisin Murphy, Steve Mason, Beirut, Kurt Vile, Everything Everything and FOALS!!!!! 8)

I cant fricking wait. Anyone else going?

Surely 6music is as STW as wood burners, SEIKO 5 watches, £300 coffee grinders and the like.

Really wanted to go - they've got some top notch people there, but tickets had all sold out by the time I got home from work

I tried for Saturday night, the web page was really unco-operative, kept giving me a blank page when I tried logging in via Fb, and when I finally got in, the stupidly short time available, 2 minutes, ran out before I could complete my order!
I was seething!
As someone who managed to get front row seats for Kate Bush, I didn't imagine this would be so difficult to get tickets.
Bugger.

Hi,
Just borrowing my partner's account as, very reluctantly, I'm having to sell our two tickets for 6 Music at Motion tomorrow night as he's had to go away short notice and I can't find anyone who is free to come with me : < booo.
The door open at 4.00 and the bands playing are Róisín Murphy (17:00 – 17:40), Tricky presents Skilled Mechanics (18:40-19:20), Daughter (20:20 – 21:00), Suede (22:00-23:15). It's going to be ace and I am sad to miss it.
The tickets were £35 each plus a £3.50 booking fee each but I am open to offers.
I'm in South Bristol, Knowle area - just off the Wells Road but could also deliver if need be.
I'll keep an eye on this thread today so if anyone is interested please message me here.
Nicky

I'm going with a few mates to Coulston Hall on Saturday to see Underworld, Roni Size, Ezra Furman, White Demin etc.

We have 2 spare tickets available as someone fell ill. £44 per ticket. Email me if interested.

Doors open at 3pm, shut at midnight.

Coulston Hall line up in more detail to make you either jealous or happy to be at home

Underworld -

- reminds me of being 18 getting wasted at parties and listening to this on tape in my dad's car (while not driving)

Ezra -

- Cat and I saw him last summer, fantastic

White Denim - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JKMIDHUwHmM - very fine band

Blanck mass - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y8FumF-9sjU - seriously hard electronic music, is this still techno?!

Golden Rules - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WbnbN4ClhuU - love this 🙂

Misty in roots - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s-ddWOZ4EDI (John Peel session) - roots reggae obvs, as per recent 6music documentary

Gwenno - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f0uxmtsLNJ4 - GF loves Gwenno, I'm a bit meh. She is both welsh and cornish.

Are they having a festival? In Bristol?

They didn't mention it? They need to sack the publicist! 😉

Have a good 'un you lot. I'm not remotely jealous

It's so nice to be going and not having to suffer the relentless ads for it! Yes I could turn over but I don't like radio 2 and don't need the afternoon drama on radio4.

Hi O.P.
I went to Motion on the Saturday.
Thought is was a great gig and have to say that all the artists were great.
Tricky was probably the most engaging set i have seen in A LONG TIME. I have to also say that am a bit disappointed that 6 music haven't made much of his set.

Both nights were really good, but Sunday night was particularly special.
