So I know that the 5th anniversary is traditionally signified by a wooden gift. Now I'm assuming Mrs bigG isn't going to be overly impressed by a rolling pin, or a set of coasters and I can't even imagine the painful splinters I'll endure trying to extract them from my bodily orifices if I try to give her either.
So, any helpful wooden related suggestions for an anniversary gift?
One other thing, the anniversary is on Friday and in my usual lame way with these things I've left it to the last minute.
(Please no references to giving her my wood fnarr fnarr, that's already part of my plan, and hopefully hers)
Fancy wooden jewellery box.
Chunky wooden puzzle, your choice of picture.
Welsh love spoon.
Trollbead bracelet and a welsh love spoon bead perhaps ... You'll never struggle to think of a gift again!
That pen is really quite nice.
I'm going to be in the same boat as you this year. 5th anniversary coming up and a wife that loses the nice things I get her (Bloc sunnies being a prime example), but continues to tell me that I am tight with money. I'm sat here desperately trying to think of something to buy her that's nice, thoughtful and yet is not so expensive that, when/if she loses it, I get really pissed off.
I'm really really pleased I took a gander at this post. Has reminded me my second (or is it third) anniversary is in a week. Phew, close call!
It is also Iron (no don't even think about it!).
Mrs Danny got me a spoon carving course which was fabulous and I got her some wrought iron roses and some copper calla lilies (the pertinent flower). Went down a treat both ways...
Got Mrs Carlos her fav wedding pic mounted in a nice wooden frame, I got a piece of jigsaw key ring thingymabob with love you to pieces on it. Nice meal out at the Blacksmiths for the traditional side
I went with a wooden ring earlier this year.

If its the anniversary of your 5th wedding....you deserve a gold medal 😀
How about thinking of the future and investing in a wooden coffin for her 😆
I bought my misses a tree which is still going strong 23 years on.
