If you fit a large, merlins current offer on the 5spot may help you decide.

I've never ridden a 5 Spot but am on my second 575 and it's brilliant. Good climber and carpet like ride on descents. Built mine with x9 , Revelation 150 mm forks and Hope/DT Swiss wheels and it's about 27lbs. Got to ride aone of the new carbon Stumpjumpers recently but wasn't impressed with it in comparison to the Yeti.

Very nice. What size is it? I've just installed a Works Components angleset in mine and still getting my head round it 🙂

On the CRC/Yeti- I personally wouldn't buy one in that situation. Although if the frame broke they'd probably have to give you a refund.

Not sure yet as I also need to drop the front to 150 as I think 160 is too tall for the frame. I only got a 1degree difference due to my headtube length.

I got my lbs to do it. I went into B&Q to buy a set square but they'd bloody sold out. Otherwise it would have been very easy IMO.

It is a 19" frame from merlin (the last one they had).
Been off the bike for a while due to my nagging long term injury, so it is a get me back out build. Been selling all the other bikes and bits off, and am going to be a 1 bike chap for a while.
Whats this Works Components angleset thing about?

The front on mine felt abit steep for me- like it was tucking in. This headset will sort it.
