We've had a mini Denon c/w Denon (named, but Mission) speakers for +15 years now. Super sound.

I've got a Denon DM38 driving some Mordaunt Short floorstanding speakers in my study/playroom and it impresses me - I think they are very underrated.

I *think* that the Denon DM's, at least the newer ones, have an LF (low freq.) output so you could some tidy wee bookshelf speakers and a sub hidden away in the corner..?

I don't think you'll be disappointed.
