You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
I've scheduled a live broadcast on our YouTube channel for tonight at 7pm here.
I'll be providing you a server development update, raffle update and answering your questions via the live chat.
Anyone can watch but to ask a question you need to be subscribed to the channel (Just a click and free). You can subscribe just for the broadcast if you like and unsubscribe after. But it will take 1 minute from subscribing before you can ask a question.
I'll answer as much as I can about Singletrack and the state of things.
Thanks for tuning everyone who did.
I'll do it again when there's more to report on.
Thanks Mark, enjoy the rest of your beer. I'm trying to be dry Monday to Friday, but I've cracked after watching you slurp that and all the beer talk!
You and the rest of the STW team do a really great job with the site and the mag, hope this makes it easier for you. All the best.
Thanks Mark that was very informative and it all sounds a good deal less "terminal" than I guess a lot of people imagined. Good to hear the fundraising is going so well.
Thank you to all those who have subscribed, donated and bought tickets. Tremendous support.
Few days back, lying in bed not being able to sleep... I picked the mobile up to have a look on STW. There's a few night owls on here as well as our friends from down under.
Anyway, had a look for a while then put the phone back on charge. Still not tired I imagined getting up in the morning and after the usual routine having a quick look on STW, only this morning it was different. No forum, just a "We are sorry but Singletrack World has had to shut its doors".
The thought was really unpleasant. This place has been here for a lot of the good and bad in my life over recent years. If it went, "it" really meaning so the people, both at STW and the forum proles such as myself, I'd feel a bit lost and if I'm honest, a sense of loss. Silly but true.
Anyway...
Really glad things are going a little better now and I hope STW doesn't just survive but thrives.
Hey there Poop, you are not a prol. Apart from that, my sentiments exactly. In the past we have all stepped up and helped eachother. I've had close personal involvement in some of these events and have seen how important this community is to quite a few people.
I know a few people who have a passing interest in MTBs, I'm thinking that maybe a subscription would be a good birthday gift for them.
I would just like to say that one of the best articles I have read in Singletrack over the last few years was in the latest issue, Chariots of Rust by Adam Boggon, is it possible he can write a few more pieces for you ?
I spoke with the Editor of Cranked at the Malverns MTB Festival this summer and he was selling the last issue before stopping printing the magazine. Unfortunately I think that many people are reluctant to pay for content now whether its guidebooks or printed magazines.
Having to rely on advertising must be very difficult as a lot of people (well me mostly) are also turning away from constantly updating kit all the time.
You have my best wishes and I hope it works out for you. More Boggon please 🙂
Just caught up with this tonight as I was - shocked horror! - out riding my bike last night.
Really interesting and honest watch. Whether you are a fan of the site or one of the those beset with problems, it's worth a watch to get more back ground and a view of the future plans.
Which Wednesday is the coffee flash mob planned for?

+1 on that. Along with all the more subtle mental health and inclusivity hints that the mag has made in the last year +1000 on that.
So yeah def don’t wanna lose this place or this mag.
