As title really, she is a classic case of exercise based procrastination, always talking of exercise she will do rather than doing any. I was thinking of entry for a 10k or such like but can't find any cheap enough so would welcome any ideas from the wonderful people of STW.

Pedometer.

That way she can convince herself that walking to the crisp machine counts as exercise.

Sign her up for your local Parkrun. That would be free. Also a free gait analysis at your local running shoe shop.

Couple of Torq gels and a £5 running shop gift voucher in a cycle bottle ( you have a fresh one lying around?)

Job done.

Some sort of training diary to plan or log what she does(n't) do.

A copy of Run for Life: the Real Woman's Guide to Running by Sam Murphy (a fiver on Amazon). Great book.

Spends more time talking about sport than doing it?

Hmmm. How about a few months Premier membership for STW?
