Can't help with the tv - not a tv guru, but the three year warranty is superb! I bought a £999 42" plasma when they were £1399 everywhere else - it died after 30 months and after 3 replacements, they refunded me in full when the last one didn't work.
Can't fault their customer services if it does go wrong.
HTH.
damn it ive just been paid. what did you have to go and do that for?
yea - a branded tv is about £50-100 more but the 3 year warranty is the part that really appeals.
Richersounds all day
Plus 1 for Richer sounds ... excellent service every time and you get a 5yr warranty ... which is only 10% of the TV price 😀
Only ever had 1 TV play up and that was 4yrs into the warranty, 1 phone call and was picked up and repaired in less than a week 😯
Aldi are no problem if you need to take something back just cos you don't like it too. So sounds like it's worth a punt.
Hard to beat for the money for sure, for higher-end branded sets I would check out www.electrocentreltd.com and get John Lewis to price-match them (can be a struggle in-store but EC do have a bricks & mortar store and their on-line people will price match and credit you if you've already bought one at a JL store).
Edit: hmm EC site seems to be down at the mo, hope they haven't folded as want a price-match on a Samsung 8000 soon 🙁

I'd find out who makes their panels/shared factory?
Again though I'd still buy from Richersounds. Fantastic customer service when things go WRONG.
Check out some reviews the finlux on eBay may be better
