Passadis del Pep for food. No menu, just go with it! Go there hungry, and don't go if you don't like seafood.

The Boqueria market is amazing if you are into food. Tonnes of great tapas places but try and stick to the more local ones rather than the touristy traps. El Vinya del Senyor is a great wine bar in a lovely square where you can watch the world go bar. I'd also highly recommend Runnerbean Tours, they do walking tours of Barcelona that are free but you tip what you think it's worth at the end. We did 2 and they were brilliant. If you want a great restaurant then Monvinic is really nice.

The food market there is amazing, even if only for a photo op.

Go for a ride on the tourist open top bus to get your bearings
Go have wander around Parc Guell, some fantastic views of the city.
If its nice, have lunch down by the port.

Eat here at least one night:

http://www.loscaracoles.es/

Amazing atmosphere, great staff, great food and situated in a really interesting twisty, windy (thats wine-dy, not win-dy) old building

We went on the bike tour round the city. Small groups and informative guide made us feel a lot less like tourists than the bus tour. Highly recommended.
