I have lost the 3V adapter for my watch winder.
Can I use any old 3V adapter or will I die?

Almost. Need to check that it's DC, there are a few AC units out there, that it's got enough power (should be fine, I doubt you'll find one too small) and finally that the connector polarity is correct

There are two types of electricity, Direct Current (DC) and Alternating Current (AC). You need the correct one.

Do you still have the old adaptor? Can you post a picture of the writing on it? We will be able to advise on its spec and what will be a suitable replacement better.
