Bit of a long shot on here I know and very short notice but here goes...

My running partner has got a stress fracture in his spine so can't run and none of my other running mates can do it for one reason or another. I know there are a few closet runners on here too so come on who's up for it? In summary the race is 76 miles running 14000ft climb, 26 miles cycling and 380+ miles of sailing (no sailing experience required) more info here Three Peaks Yacht Race
It starts 25th June in Barmouth and we'll likley finish the Wednesday/Thursday in Corpach.

We're not a front running team, but like to compete at a level and have a laugh. As a guide to pace it'd hope to do the snowdon leg in about 4.5Hrs thats 24 miles and 1000m accent from Caernarfon up the Rangers path to the summit down the Llanberis path back to the boat.
Going the distance is more important than the pace.

it's a great week out and a real adventure, it's my third year now after standing in for another injured runner a few years ago.

I've posted on the fell runners association, sleepmonsters + my local running club too.

pm me if your interested and want more details

cheers
Keith

Stever my team and I were immediately behind your friends as they ran aground outside of Caernarfon. Thankfully we had a marginally shallower draft and by hanging off the side or yacht we just managed to keep moving to find a few inches more water and got in a few hours ahead of them with a little less drama, sounded like they enjoyed it though.

It was very close though, thank them for highlighting the shallow bit in the channel for us though will you 😉

99% sure we've got a runner sorted thankfully 😀 [Breaths massive sigh of relief]
He's just sorting everything out and will confirm 100% later today hopefully
I've met him briefly before at a few events and know others that know him too so am confidant he's a good match to run with and get on with for a week in a confined space

cheers for asking around though guys
