So all our house are with ID Mobile which is based on 3's network. Appears its down and has been since lunchtime. None of us can make calls even to the emergency services. No info from 3 as to when it will be back up
I think I'll be buying an EE PAYG sim tomorrow as an emergency measure.
Probably shouldn't have got rid of the landline but I guess there will be no choice soon anyway - can't help thinking its a bad idea overall
We have always had separate providers partially for that reason, and because we are more likely to have a signal between us in remote locations
Latest update. Can still make WhatsApp calls on WiFi. Wife and I are on ID, kids are on O2.
Just remembered my wife has a work phone on Vodafone but I think I'll still grab another SIM and stick it in an old phone as a precautionary measure.

Just make sure the phone isn't network locked if it's old.
All working again now.
Don't emergency calls use any available network? Odd that those didn't work (though did you test that?!).
3Mobile here in Liverpool was unaffected, quite lucky as my phone is 3Mobile as is my home broadband. The 5g home broadband is especially good.

I said that to my wife, but didn't want to test it....
I'm still having problems now, 11.30 Friday morning. I'm on Three but the kids are on ID and were fully working again last night. Not a word from Three, they are quick to try and sell you something via a text, but not a jot of information about this outage.
