Good evening STW,

Heading over to Olso at the end of June to visit a mate. We will have a car and 3 days to ride. Would probably limit ourselves to 5-6 hrs drive from Oslo and ideally be based in one place/minimum driving each day.

Fancy some big mountain/slick rock routes with some big descents to the fjords.

Does anybody have any experience or recommendations of where to go riding and stay please?

Thanks STW.

Hafjell bike park is within your range and has some great riding, but the uplift only runs on weekends for most of the summer.

I’m based in oslo during the week

If you want a gravel ride up through the forest straight out of Oslo let me know and I’ll take you out (if I’m around)

Nesbyen , Sogndal and Kaupanger as well as those suggested above. Radness!

Have emailed Will.

Thanks for the offer Woody. Looks like we may be heading straight to the coast now.

Just back from the trip to Norway with ANY EXCUSE TO RIDE...

Was excellent. Thanks for the recommendation.

Riding was ace. Trails were steep, rocky and rooty. Food was tasty and plentifully. Accommodation and facilities were top notch too.

Highly recommended.

I love Norway. I love mountain biking. If I combine the two I'm sure my head would explode.
