Just bought a Park Tool torque wrench which is 3/4 inch drive. I'd like to be able to use my existing tool bits which are 1/4 hex. Is there an adapter? Or would it be cheaper to just find new 3/4 bits?
I'd need hex bits up to 6mm, and torx up to 25.
Bleeeurgh that’s a horrible link. Do you mean 3/8 torque wrench? I can’t imagine Park doing a 3/4” one. If so the above will work.
For some reason I can't remember I was told never to use adapter sockets on torqe wrench tools. But I can't remember why
Ah no it won’t just read your post properly! You could get the above, and then I’m assuming you already have a 1/4” bit holder. But to be honest it’s probably easier to just buy the bits you need in 3/8 drive…
You can get 1/4” to 3/8”, 3/8” to 1/4” and you can get 3/8” to half inch for cassette tools… and 1/2” to 3/8”.. worlds your winkle!
are u sure you mean 3/4" ? That's the huge one for truck hub nuts etc, scale typically starts at 200Nm and up. 1/2" is the standard size you'd use on your car. 3/8" drive is praps medium and 1/4" drives are the small ones. I think the park wrenches are 3/8" ?
You can get socket adaptors for all drives to fit hex bits. So if your torque wrench is 3/8" drive you want something like this to hold your hex bits

Just get the Park set with them all in… 😎
and it is 3/8 I think.
oh and you’ll also want a few Torx Plus (who knew Torx doesn’t fit all Torx because some of them are a teeny weeny bit larger and need a Torx - “Plus” a little bit extra…🙄)
You want a 3/8ths step down.
Not 3/4 trust me.
Ah sorry, yes it's 3/8
grimep
That's what I'm after. Thanks.
