Work has been busy, been on an emotional rollercoaster with illnesses in the family, Im really looking forward to a break, some time with selected family, friends & food.

Planning to squeeze in a ride at Afan between xmas & new year

Bought the Turkey this weekend & ordered some of the kids xmas pressies on black Friday 'deals'

Mark Gatiss has John Snow in his BBC ghost story this year https://www.radiotimes.com/tv/fantasy/mark-gatiss-ghost-story-conan-doyle-newsupdate/

what are people most looking forward too / dreading!?

I'm looking forward to it for the first time in years. I've had some grim ones in the past with family nonsense and spent some on my own.

This year it'll be NBD for junior...

He'll be 2 and a half and he's just started recognising Santa and saying 'Chimbus'.

Should be fun for the next few years.

Thanks, I also think it looks great. It makes me want to buy a BMX for myself. Maybe next year.

He tried it for size in a shop in about September and his jaw dropped. Hopefully it has the same effect on Xmas day.

I've just got the first pressies on order from the CRC clear out.  Biking stuff for the boys. It feels rather oddly un-Christmassy ordering from there knowing what the staff will be thinking and worrying about at this time.  🫤

That balance bike looks awesome sharkattack. 🙂

Christmas is going to be quiet and we need to be at home a lot for 'reason'. So that means lots of Airfix/WH40k building and painting and some Xbox gaming this year rather than days out.  I'll be working a chunk of it too I expect as I was a bit slow booking holiday.  🫣

Same as the OP - another shitt year on the bike, a shitty period at work and some contemplative conversations with others means I’m looking forward to switching off.    It falls well this year ending work on the Friday and not back until the following Tuesday.

Time with family doing Christmas things, bike rides and having lie-ins.

I have the week off between Christmas and New Year, so that's good, and I'll have a nice day at my folks, so that's good, but I don't really care about the whole 'Christmas' thing. To quote my sister, it's a massive load of fuss over one roast dinner.
