It was my birthday last week and I had noooo idea for presents, therefore everyone gave me money amounting to £250. Now I don't know what to do with it!

So - non-bike (don't need anything) ideas please - I like food, cars, film, music...

Donate to charity? I believe £250 will get you an enormous sense of well-being.

...or just get pissed and have a fancy meal.

Do something you wouldn't normally do.

I did a tamdem paraglide for mine 1 year.
Go to a flash restaurant and get dressed up or something like that

Slightly over budget, but you could treat yourself and 2 mates to paintball in a tank

Be incredibly boring and put it in a savings account until next year's birthday money arrives. Then go travelling.

£100 on a bread-maker - never buy bread again and always have fresh healthy stuff in the kitchen.

£150 on a day out with the bird/boyfriend, evening at the ballet (again, bird or boyfriend) and a decent meal 🙂

For my daughters birthday, I got her a flying lesson in a helicopter for not much more than that.

She flew a helicopter before ever driving a car....and was able to take a couple of girly friends with her along for the ride.

One she'll remember I reckon

(Something I fancy doing too, if truth be told)

Don't bother with the breadmaker. Just get a proper mixer and use the oven you already have - much better results.

MTB photography course?

Right - been into town looking for inspiration....

I have a Gaggia Classic and a Dualit burr grinder - I was thinking I could either upgrade the burr grinder to something more substantial or sell the Classic and buy a bean to cup machine (and add a little of my own money too).

Or an ice cream maker (have kids and they would love it)

Or a nice food mixer (again, kids, cakes etc)

Or (going a bit leftfield and it may not get used) - a petrol remote control car (they seem to be in the £200 to £300 region and the father in law has a huge field I could use.

Or a Lambo driving experience (only £59 on offer at Red Letter Days for 4 laps).

Or spend it all on a more in-depth rally driving day - they seem to be in the £200 to £300 region too.

Or be very boring and save it.

It all does seem a little mad though - struggling to think of something to spend money on (I could spend £250 on stuff for the house but I really want to do something for me).

A Tissot or Seiko watch.
A driving day at Silverstone (the single seaters are awesome).
A slap up meal somewhere nice like Purnells.
A pair of proper, English brogues.
A meat order at Donald Russell butchers.
The wine and produce for an amazing home cooked meal.

That is my list at the moment.

Get yourself a foodie hamper from these guys. It's all lovely local produce

Or invest your cash in Malt Whisky. Find a distillery that has recently stop producing (either shut down or burned down etc), buy some malt, hide it for 10 years. You've got a little fun investment to sell or enjoy at your leisure in the future
