Thread hijack

Last year I bought the mag, just to get the calendar, as I’m a digital subscriber. Then I noticed you could buy it separately.

Is that happening this year?

Mine came with the magazine today (just), for the third time the envelope was badly damaged and the magazine poking out, this made issue 150 unreadable as the pages were stuck together. I was offered a replacement but with regards to STW financial situation I put up with just digital.

Our Littlewoods catalogue used to be like that.

@wheelsonfire1 could you post us a picture? We keep taking this issue up with the printer/wrapper - we don’t want to ignore it! I can’t tell you how frustrating it is to put such effort into producing something only to have it treated without care and attention at the final stage!

Sorry Hannah, the envelope is in the recycling now. My wife has a similar weight magazine that comes in a paper envelope and has never arrived damaged yet. Perhaps it’s of a combination of the light weight paper and the slightly oversized envelope that allows the STW to move about? Or, the eagerness of the carefully crafted articles to break out and spread the word of cycling and joy?

By the way, this year's calender is way better than last year's!

Would be happy for Amanda to fill all of next year's with her own compositions 😁

Is is available as a download - I've not had a single calendar from any of my suppliers this year! 🙂

There was a time a desk would be covered in supplier Christmas freebies!

If it's not too much admin faff (it probably is, I suspect) then I'd be happy to tick a box and not receive a calendar every year.

The opposite of roger mellie - as a digital subscriber I’d like to only receive the calendar.

likewise - I only buy the mag once a year to get the calendar. Would prefer an option to buy a calendar only (preferably with no ads).

Only issue I have with the calendar is it's a 13 month calendar, Dec to Dec. So now I'm in a dilemna about which Dec do I show, the Dec 23 from the 2023 calendar, of the Dec 23 from the 2024 Calendar.

Currently using 2023 but may switch... can't display both where it currently is!

Got mine, love it.

But where was the August photo taken? All the others have a location printed... But not August. Is it a secret trail?

Yes, fantastic pictures, mostly the type of riding I enjoy, not too many jumpy ones to remind me that I can’t/won’t/I’m too old. I’d like to know what members use the calendars for? I use a shared digital calendar to coordinate with my wife but I do put some dates on the STW calendar that is hung in pride of place in my workshop - notably camping trips with my mate but also every day since March 16th this year has a green tick. They show days when I’ve not had any alcohol at home - 100% record so far! I still have the odd pint or two when out with my mate/family/away on holiday but the covid homebrew excesses have been curbed. It’s made STW subscription extremely good value.
