I am in a Labour stronghold with majority over 11,000 🤔
Very hard to challenge that.
@Cougar just google "bet on general election" and you'll get loads of options. As a first time better you'll probably have offers such as "bet £10 and get £20 free bets"
Wish this had come out a few days ago; Labour could have used it.

Having said that they have failed to make much reference to johnson's lie about securing 'great' trade deals of any kind by end of next year.
They are handed opportunities but fail to capitalise on them; it's almost as if they don't really want to win.
Hmm.
"Labour minority" now 9/2 on Sky Bet.
We need pics of STW'ers dogs @ polling stations, it will make us smile if nothing else. @rone
Still at 12/1 on Paddy Power. Thats down from 15/1 this morning
We need pics of STW’ers dogs @ polling stations, it will make us smile if nothing else
Yep!
I'm hoping (against hope?) that the collective madness that has afflicted the world recently (Trump, Brexit) is going to take the day off tomorrow and allow some sense to shine through. Not sure I can take another let down, Friday could be a bad day indeed 🙁
#pleasedontvoteconservative
Isn't that Catist?
Yep!
Look forward to seeing your BT then!
Isn’t that Catist?
Nah, pointless creatures!
I wouldn't say they were entirely pointless.
My furniture isn't going to wreck itself, is it?
The only time I don't want a B.J for Christmas.
They are handed opportunities but fail to capitalise on them; it’s almost as if they don’t really want to win.
Johnson’s election plan is to lie about how easy Brexit will be, and that it’ll be beneficial. Corbyn’s election plan is to try and pretend Brexit doesn’t matter, and that it’s irrelevant whether it happens or not. The Conservative manifesto ignores the cost of “getting Brexit done” over the next 5 years, and Labour’s grey book makes no mention of the difference in tax revenue expected based on different referendum results. How do you capitalise on Johnson’s nonsense without having a clear idea to put forward of what will happen as regards his core message if you are elected instead.
Laugh at Buckethead
I'm a Count Binface man myself.
I said Count!
Tomorrow's forecast weather has turned up in my neck of the woods. It's minging out! Long may it continue, well, 31 hours would be nice.
We need pics of STW’ers dogs @ polling stations, it will make us smile if nothing else.
You can feast on #dogsatpollingstations tomorrow then. Both Instagram and Twitter will be chock full of pictures all day.
Tories in new low to take seats from SNP
Who’s taken Friday off so that they can stay up and watch the results come in? Fess up… who’s as sad and tragic as me?
Working Friday night shift instead of day, plan is to go for a night ride* and get back in and showered ready for the results coming in about 1am onwards. The question is how many more calories will I eat in biscuits/chocs etc than I burned on the ride 🤣
* weather dependant. If it's shit out I'll go to the gym instead.
So then, prediction time. Ignore what you want, what will be the outcome be?
Tory minority government is my prediction.
Prediction?.
The dream ticket, Nicola and Jeremy, annoys the **** out the gammoners, Scottish Labour distraught, jackson carlaw apopletic, indyref 2 delivered, we get the hell out of dodge after finally growing a pair of baws and voting yes, and the cherry on the cake?.
That smug arsehole swinson loses her seat.
🙏🏻
Anything other than a Tory majority would be good, although I wouldn't want a Labour majority either.
For me it's nose holding time and vote Labour, anything the mad socialists could do in power can be undone again (plus they'll probably find most of what they plan to do can't be done), Brexit however is forever not just Christmas.
Was going to vote Lib Dem but looking at the 2017 results for my constituency that would be pointless, Cons 25000, Lab 22000, LD 1500, there's a chance we can kick out the Jake Berry slime ball but only through a Labour win. I am not happy.
On the plus side the weather looks truly foul here tomorrow so that'll keep some of the blue rinse gammons home.
Prediction? Tory minority gov; no support from any other party unless major changes to WA; DUP to carry a grudge - refuse to support tories irrespective of any changes to WA and size of bribe.
If I'm right, johnson to go in 3 months and Corbyn won't be far behind.
On the plus side the weather looks truly foul here tomorrow so that’ll keep some of the blue rinse gammons home.
Id disagree completely, never underestimate the cotton tops! They'll be out whatever the weather...
there’s a chance we can kick out the Jake Berry slime ball but only through a Labour win.
If anything other than a Tory maj is good, you know what you need to do...hold your nose.
So then, prediction time. Ignore what you want, what will be the outcome be?
Labour minority. But it's going to be very, very close.
And of course, what happens next will be interesting.
How come people are commenting on Postal Votes now?
How come postal votes are even allowed to be counted until tomorrow night?
Apparently Dominic Raab knows and has hinted and Laura Kuenssberg has reported exactly what she's been told to say by Tory HQ in the usual manner!
Prediction - Tories have exactly the same number of seats as before and the whole GE is proven to be a complete and utter waste of time.
Id disagree completely, never underestimate the cotton tops! They’ll be out whatever the weather…
Yeah. If anything it'll probably keep the first-time voters away.
Laura Kuenssberg has reported exactly what she’s been told to say
Either she's making it up (a Tory lying, who'd a thunk it) or she's going to jail.
How come postal votes are even allowed to be counted until tomorrow night?
Apparently, PVs are opened and checked prior to counting. The parties are allowed to have representatives present. They're not supposed to see the marks on the ballot papers but they are often visible (through the paper from the reverse). Thus, the parties get a "feel" for the numbers.
I think narrow Lab Min, although hoping for Lab Maj and putting a few quid on both.
Is it a realistic proposition that Bojo may be unseated in Uxbridge?
ray, labour pushing hard in uxbridge & johnson is absent so....I think (and hope) so.
Would be great to see raab & drunken smith have portillo moments.
Tory minority I reckon
https://twitter.com/brexit_sham/status/1204770258327887872?s=19
I'm not sure it really is breaking the law fwiw, but anyway could be key, a lot of postal votes for Tories in early, especially if oldies worried about bad weather , Johnson has had a shocker the last few days but their votes are safe anyway even if polls showing a narrowing so yeah Tory minority
At the least we can hope Johnson & Tories are crapping it tonight, I imagine Johnson has already hit the vodka
As far as predictions go I reckon Scotland will largely remain yellow but beyond that who knows.
I'd like Labour to win, minority being better for hopefully injecting some sanity back into this whole shit show.
My pessimistic side sees more of the same with no conclusive result.
Kussenberg is an odious scumbag.
I don't think Tory min is an option, is it? Is anyone else going to work with them?
+1 Molgrips
It’s shit or bust for the Tories now. I’m hoping for a hung parliament again to humiliate the commons and the country at large. A hung parliament with Johnson losing his seat would be brilliant.
Is anyone else going to work with them?
Are you trolling the LibDems?
Tory minority I reckon
I'm interested in the mechanics of how a Tory minority government would be assembled - they literally have no friends left at Westminster, they've even pissed off the DUP. Who would be propping it up?
EDIT: beaten to it by Molly et al.
Prediction: Narrow labour minority government (which is probably the best we can hope for).
What I'm bothered about is our own (non-Corbynite) Labour MP losing his job to be replaced by some reactionary, Brexiteer, Tory, Far right nut-job. He's done a brilliant job as a constituancy MP and is a thoroughly decent bloke, whereas the last Tory we had (a proper hang 'em and flog 'em, rabidly anti-EU fruit loop) couldn't find the constituency he was meant to be representing on a map. He turned up once or twice a year for a whistlestop tour of photo-opportunities then hightailed it back to London as fast as his little legs could carry him (first class on expenses, obviously)
James has a 4,500 majority at the moment but it's going to be a close run thing
Latest odds from skybet for post election gov:
- tory majority 2/5
- lab minority 5/1
- tory minority 12/1
- lab/SNP coalition 12/1
- lab/SNP/LD coalition 16/1
- lab majority 20/1
There are specific definitions of majority, minority & coalition.
Other options available at 40/1 and longer.
£10 on tory minority and/or lab-SNP coalition both at 12s are tempting.
Three way coalition would be marriage made in hell.
I don't think SNP will go for formal coalition - how can you be on a UK-wide government when you're a separatist? - but maybe S&C.
We should have arranged an STW election night meet up.
Corbyn wants power and will look at all possible options.
Same applies to Sturgeon; nothing I know of to prevent any nationalist party being part of coalition.
SNP entering into S&C to support lab minority is, I think, too uncertain for Corbyn; coalition provides more certainty - and control.
Who knows?
I predict a tiny Tory majority. I'll be genuinely surprised with anything else.
I detest Kuensberg. She's an absolute disgrace to the profession.
Tory minority for me. Which will fall apart within 6 months and we're back here again

Kussenberg is an odious scumbag.
Agree, I watched it live, the postal vote thing went over my head but her disdain for Corbyn was undeniable. "I'm going to one of his rallies, he'll do one of his speeches, attended by his members"

Riding Woburn if anyone wants to join, probably in the rain & not back until after exit polls
It's not what I'd hope for but on the basis of polls, currency markets and bad weather - Tory majority of six seats.
Kussenbergs not that bad, she's right about Corbyn holding rallies for his members, but that fires them up to get out campaigning
Her problem is that she lives or does by her inside scoops, gotta tweet the latest news first, so she's pretty much Cummings pet in this election
Why can't I easily find this mornings fridge story about Boris on the BBC website? Might be my own ineptitude?
Whatever, if its that hard to find the website editor is making it so. I call the BBC biased. I have never worn a tin foil hat!
Who’s taken Friday off so that they can stay up and watch the results come in? Fess up… who’s as sad and tragic as me?
itd just make me angry and sad at the same time, so ill stay away from the telly and wake up the next day to the news any compassionate human being dreads, then just get on with it......
Sounds like the day after the Brexit vote.

It's here:
Election Lie analysis on Tortoise:

I’m not particularly a fan of Corbyn, but I thought the postal vote comment was outrageous coming from a BBC journalist.
Ta outofbreath, but my point is why isn't that on the BBC?! Doesn't need to be at the top, but should be there. It is very relevant.....Boris runs away!
I’m interested in the mechanics of how a Tory minority government would be assembled – they literally have no friends left at Westminster, they’ve even pissed off the DUP. Who would be propping it up?
This.
Anything other than an actual Tory Majority will lead to a Labour Government of some kind, perhaps not with Corbyn as leader.
Whoever "wins", this is not going to be a happy period in Government. Brexit has to be done or halted (both unpopular) and growth was flat this month and we must be due a recession after 10 years of (tiny) growth.
Waderider, it's on the BBC news feed - and has been since late this morning; probably should have been on there earlier but that's a different discussion.
Ta outofbreath, but my point is why isn’t that on the BBC?!
Sorry, didn't read it properly, thought you wanted to see the vid.
I predict a tiny Tory majority. I’ll be genuinely surprised with anything else.
That is what my money will be on. And I will have more of it with the Tories in power which oddly is not what I want to happen.
Anyone else see Steve coogan on C4 news?
He's promoting tactical voting, but essentially called all Tory voters "ignorant and ill informed" by way of comparing them to partridge.
Can't imagine that was a very good idea.
That is what my money will be on. And I will have more of it with the Tories in power which oddly is not what I want to happen.
Just make a donation to the treasury of the amount you think you ought to be paying - there's a mechanism to do that.
Tory minority would lead to attempts in all directions to form alliances; brexit, plaid & greens are unlikely to have any seats to trade with.
Independents will wish to remain exactly that - independent.
SNP & LDs have both explicitly ruled out working with tories.
Johnson unlikely to willingly cede but may be forced to tell Brenda he cannot form a gov and she will then invite Corbyn to have a go.
That's when the 'fun' will start.
Nothing good - other than johnson & corbyn both walking - will come of this election.
Just a reminder how good the Tories are with the economy and what happens you cut spending.

A government has to spend or the economy will never recover.

Yes, I saw that but I think Steve Coogan is turning into his own character.
They are not paying for the shares.
Can you point to where it says they won't? That's most certainly not in there.
I will tell you how it will work though. The companies will grant 1% of shares to the fund until 10% is built up.
The company. So the company will have to own the shares. So they will have to buy them, create them. Or steal them. Which would be a crime. Either way, the government is not going to steak your shares. Stop the bs

Budget for it is not included in the Grey Book so there is no budget planned for purchase.
Unless you claiming there's a 770bn hole in Labour's spending plan that the IFS failed to spot.
You all ready to realise how wrong you are?
The dream ticket, Nicola and Jeremy, annoys the **** out the gammoners, Scottish Labour distraught, jackson carlaw apopletic, indyref 2 delivered, we get the hell out of dodge after finally growing a pair of baws and voting yes, and the cherry on the cake?.

Yes please ..Now that would be a Christmas present
I hope I'm wrong, yourguitarhero, massive turnouts for Plaid, the SNP, LibDems and greens would be wonderful. I can't see it happening though hence my prediction.
but essentially called all Tory voters “ignorant and ill informed” by way of comparing them to partridge
He said that Partridge had those attributes, and would vote Tory. Extrapolate that out to ‘all Tory voters’ having those attributes if you want, snowflake.
I will tell you how it will work though. The companies will grant 1% of shares to the fund until 10% is built up.

Thank you for your explanation. You do realise that it supports OOB,s point don't you? After 10 years, 10% of the company - that would have been owned by the current owners of the company - will be in the possession of someone else, and without any payment - certainly no promise of payment that can be found in Labour's pronouncements. Looks like theft - or at the least a stealth tax - to me.
A government has to spend or the economy will never recover.
Even without spending they've managed to increase national debt to the point where the interest payment is 3 times the EU membership fee.
That's because they're not spending on the correct things.

Yup and that's how it's been reported everywhere and how John McDonnell himself explained it. Here's the manifesto text:
We will give workers a stake in the
companies they work for – and a share
of the profits they help create – by
requiring large companies to set up
Inclusive Ownership Funds (IOFs). Up
to 10% of a company will be owned
collectively by employees, with
dividend payments distributed equally
among all, capped at £500 a year,
and the rest being used to top up the
Climate Apprenticeship Fund.
...and here's the grey book which doesn't include paying for the shares:
We're all on the wrong side of history on here. Tough to accept.
