In lieu of an awards ceremony, let's hear your nominations for STW forum members.

The Rules are simple

1/ Keep it light
2/ State your category
3/ State your nominee, and why.

Here goes...

STW Returnee of the Year - tjagain

A worthy winner for being up-front and honest about his return, for showing impeccable restraint (something that was previously lacking 🙂 )and for some welcome contributions.

I'm saying Ton, for his remarkable recovery from 2 big health/surgery issues & his determination.

*the fact that It's his turn for the butties tomorrow has no bearing on my choice, oh no siree*

Thread of the Year - Ski & Snowboard (Both seasons, I suppose). Such a great mix of knowledge, experience, stories, photos and pisstaking, and all without any of the arguing that doesn't half drag this place down some times.

And no, not because I started the threads. I just kick 'em off, everyone else makes them.

Ton and WCA for thier epic medical endeavours.
Both live the spirit of biking, despite the despair both have endured at times.

Me, from stepping away from that E chuffing U thread (and all other politically nasty threads) without actually wanting to desimate the Brexiters with something horrid.

Captain Flashheart - the Golden Boot

+1. Never has a person plummeted from grace in my estimation so quickly 😉

I'd also nominate Jamie for the most subtle forum comeback ever seen. Although i havent seen a gif yet, so I'm merely assuming its the same Jamie...

Clodhopper - for the 'yes, we all know it's you again Fred' award, but then also the jump-before-you're-pushed petticoat-rustling mega-flounce of the year award

As flattered as i am that people think throwing in a few cheesy one liners is worthy of a mention, surely it pales into insignificance compared to the actual, real world assistance that some of the posters on here have rendered to those in need.
So i nominate scotroutes and all those who donated parts to build a bike for an STWer in need.
Bravo.

STWers of the year, all of those who share mental health problems and all those who reply with their first hand experiences. Those who suffer misfortune and all those who offer help. Truely the best of STW.

A hat tip to all the other STWers willing to stand against the "accepted forum view" - 80% Remain on here according to the front page, etc etc

Best wishes to all for 2017 and for a good year for the Magazine.

Bails, again, he doesn't post much but that's because he doesn't post the 90% of total pish most people do, so it's all quality.

And Bearnecessities definitely gets joke of the year for that hermes line.

Perchypanther - you make me laugh, you lighten up loads of threads.
Even though I've been accidentally reading Percy, which is forgivable.

@kryton57: +1 for moseymtb thread - and all of the supportive posts.

And ignoring the rules - a shout out to sharkattack who started off sleeping in his van and having a tough time and, last i heard, he was settled in sheffield and working. A year that started badly but is, hopefully, ending well for him.
STW group therapy....

Best joke was that one the other week about the owl box - too wet to woo. I properly LoLed at that.
Again another year passes and I am still lurking about on the interbongo. Some good advice threads this year, and special mention to scotroutes for getting that bike together although I did read it had gone a bit silent

Molgrips for his relentless determination to attempt to have sensible and intelligent debates on political threads, despite the obvious futility of it all. I frankly don't know how he does it.
