It would be nice for BOD to end with a win after Gatland so cruelly ended his lions hopes. Having said that if Wales win today I reserve the right to change my mind!

Hangover now fading, I honestly wish the French had pounded us, losing like that hurt more than the displays against England and Ireland.

I feel for you Duckman. I remember being a wales fan in the 80's, 90's and early 00's. 2005 was like living in a dream. Its why I cannot ever expect to win at Twickenham. I have decades of experience of being happy with holding them out for 20mins!

Points advantage is very much in Ireland's favour which means their destiny is in their own hands and they only have to beat a misfiring side who haven't beaten any decent teams this year 😀 As things stand, Ireland also deserve to win overall based on the form they've shown and their consistency. Would be nice if Wales could pull it off though!!!

Can't see Ireland as favourites myself. We have a shocking record in Paris and have lost there with better sides plenty of times. This year's champions are the winners of today's game.

If Ireland win in Paris, they'll be champions I reckon a_a - it would be difficult for either Wales or England to rack up the points needed in the remaining games. England and Wales will win their last games. If England were to trounce Wales this afternoon, then they have a chance to make up the points but are away against Italy.

So the winners of today's game will most likely finish with 4 out of five wins. Ireland will lose in France anyway, so it's today's winners that will take the championship.

THM will be along soon to tell you ireland are a good team full of lions and should be expecting to win.
I think a BOD inspired win is on the cards. But I understand your thinking, years of disappointment make it hard to believe.

There's no doubt Ireland have the weaponry to beat France. One win there since 1972...well, as you say, hard to believe.

Couldn't say who the favourites are but Ireland are the only team to currently have their destiny in their own hands which puts them in a much more commanding position compared to Eng and Wales (assuming a tightish game). Also, on how they've played so far the deserve the 6N win. Will they win? Who knows. An English win would be insuffereable is all I know 😀

Problem is Dan, the green machine is quite good at dropping destiny or kicking it away in the last few minutes. 😀 But yes, I suppose you're correct - you might as well be able to decide it yourself rather than depend on results elsewhere.

Lovely day for Rugby at the Rec. Good game, too!

Fridge is full of Brains SA, Rev James and some Feeling Foul as well. Welsh cakes for tea later.

Still can't see Wales winning. No idea why though, as it's a great team. Just can't see a win....

My prediction: Brown scores a try and Sparky tries to beat him up because of it.

Just watching the build up to the game and I am always staggered by just how show-biz it has all become. I know there is big money involved these days, but really?!?! Hope the RFU have paid a decent price for the military band and the fire power!

FFS Wales... have they not learned anything since the Ireland game? Jiffy is on the money with the halfbacks needing to improve massively but the number of errors across the team is just shocking. Jon Davies is looking way off form too which is hardly surprising. England look massively confident whereas Wales look the opposite. Thank goodness for 1/2p!

If both sides play well, i'm sad to say i think wales would win. Long may they not, well at least another 15 minutes anyway.

I would like to see the second try again, england are pummeling wales, but that try set my ref Spidey sense tingling. England are doing to wales what they did to england last year.

How many ****ing times have Wales dropped the ball on the attack inside the 22? Infuriating!

EDIT: what did you see wrong with it duckie (I think I saw something too but just assumed I was wrong, which is usually the case.)

Lack of accuracy meant he wasnt used well. I can recall one run of his he was stopped dead by Lawes and Launchbury they didnt get him running off the top of lineouts or from broken play. Too many errors. Philips and Biggar to start next week please.

Come on Ireland.

England did what they had to do pretty well. Wales didn't give them a game and somehow managed to get some points to flatter their performance.

Your team dont deserve you 1/2p

Too true! Whatever 1/2p does to prepare and be on top form on matchday.... can he please share it with the rest of the squad?

Come on Ireland

.... or come on Italy?! 😀

Ireland deserve the 6N on how they've played. Would massive lol if France win!!!

I think they have been better than england. They were very unlucky to lose to england imo.
Home advantage has told between France, Eng, Ire and Wales this season. If they can beat France they have done better than England.

Excellent!

(Great to see the much maligned 36 being the second best centre on the field today).

Felt nervous when my message to Stu was ignored 😉 and the kiwi came off though. Great performance from Lawes - he really has matured.

Half mara, boozy celebration lunch and a great rugby result. Good day!
