Well toys, the times,BT rugby show and sky all seem to be in disagreement with you. You ex captain has described the wales game as a chance for revenge and a grand slam decider. 🙄

I agree that the rule should go back to the ball needs to go backwards though, bollocks to this momentum thing..

Forza Italia! Funny how jiffy sees better up in the box than the excellently placed linesman. I suppose him and AA sharing a pair of eyes make it harder for him to judge 😀

😕 My prediction of Wales making it a tight game mainly through making life difficult for themselves seems to be coming true

No probs for England or Ireland against this lot. AA will most likely be red faced.

Nah. Wales are extending the carefully nurtured strategy of being shit in the Autumn but coming good during the 6N. All it is is making the Autumn lack of zest a bit longer to save their energy for when it matters 😉 Carefully developed strategy as I said 😀

Let's see how happy the English are in a few hours. France by 10 was my prediction

Oh I don't know - Gatland may have applied the AB's disease which is the usually exact opposite.

I am worried about England but am more optimistic than some, most top English team are playing well.

😯 Wales will be worse than in the Autumn?! Scotland will get a cricket score then 😆

English fans should be confident as Guscott has just said that the England team have a renewed enthusiasm for attacking and they've been working on it all week. Well, better late than never 😆

Looking forward to this game even more than the Wales one. Should be great for the neutral

Y Nige missed a blatant not rolling away by a Frenchman a few minutes ago.

Anyhow, great piece of enterprise from Care with the quick tap.

England will be very dangerous later in the tournament if they can play like this but lose the errors. Certainly heading in the right direction.

France look better with Guy Martin and Dimitri on the field and you can see how much they miss Parra at times

I don't think you can judge Wales by that performance today. They've got their shit game out of the system and never looked like losing.

I have a sneaking suspicion Ireland will be delighted with the spotlight off them and be the ones to beat a few rounds in

Agreed. Fitter stronger and actually faster every on the park. Unlucky for England today, without a bit of luck France would have lost by two tries, but then never let a rugby ball bounce....

On that performance England will get roundly spanked by SA, NZ and Aus.
Proper rugby teams will not let crappy playing go.

great game to watch France and England............mistakes cost England... all a learning process as in reality all irrelevant as the target is 2015 world cup

some outstanding individual performances today by France and England

Farrell
Lawes
Launchberry
Brown

Nyanga
Picamoles
Forfana

Nigel Owens

French Front Row

Good spectacle but England should have closed it out.

One game lost and Eng fans write off the 6N and start talking about the world cup 😀

Agreed. Fitter stronger and actually faster every on the park.

When was the last time you saw a Welsh player cramp up? 😆 Ok, a_a will return to his usual log in soon

I feel really sorry for May. Does anyone know if he will be out for a while?

England's problem is still no genuinely world class backs. Throw a couple in (centre and wing would be the best start) and you have a very decent team.

Also, why does Morgan not get more game time? Strategy to make the most of him as the opposition tires? He seems like the more solid option

I was loving the (still a rush, but not a mad rush) defence by England. Some fantastic performances for England. Hartley did well, youngs topped him, just. Lawes immense. Launchbury steady. Wood abrasive. Robshaw largely in control. Billy and mako top drawer. Care really surprised me, if he can keep his head, he is miles ahead of Ben youngs. I hate the way youngs always takes a step, classy scrum halves don't have to! Farrell very good. Twelvetrees had a pretty good allround game too. Morgan was a real impact. Brown and Goode were excellent, and reliable. Nowell likes a gamble, not necessarily a bad thing.

Quite worrying how Domingo neutralised Cole, Domingo is a superb scrummager, but Cole has to realise that sometimes he has to 'play the game' against tricky customer like that. First of all hold him, don't let him get under you, don't let him go down. Then when you've got the bugger steady you can crush him!

And a big shout out to Nigel Owens. Superbly referreed game.

France just got over the line, but actually, over eighty minutes England played the more rugby. Shame, but there you go.

In fact it was probably thrown away in the first 15 minutes, but after that it was a great performance.
