am watching it atm on bbc4,i hope to try and understand it this time 😆
i never understood the ending tbh (i suppose it's left to you to make your own judgment).

It's all to do with the monolith,it's a star gate or something,keeps appearing at crucial times of evolution. 2010 explained it a little more.

It's all to do with the stages of human evolution, and not just human, as shown in 2010. There are two other books,, which I've just downloaded, but not read.
