.... the Nick Cave film. Went to see it last night, there was a live link to the premiere at the Barbican too, where Mr Cave answered a few questions and sang a few songs. I recommend the film to Nick Cave fans, or anyone who appreciates a bit of intelligent dialogue (Ok, Kylie's in it too, but only briefly). General release tomorrow.

Yep - I saw it last night. Thought it was amazing, but I think everything Nick does is amazing. The excerpts from the recent tour in the movie were stunning, as were his car chats with Ray, Blixa & Kylie. Agree that you have to be a Nick Geek to really get into the film, but I loved it.

Thinking about having eel pasta for lunch today.....

(PS - I love Warren too!)

I saw it last night in Norwich and whilst I loved the film I thought Ms Bowman was trying a bit too hard. Very odd being in the 'satellite audience' too, but all in all a good night out. I think Warren stole the show.

Ms Bowman, is that the lass who was doing the intros? Poor. Piss poor. What does she normally do for a living, then?

I was lucky enough to see it at the Barbican - very nicely made film (which Warren Ellis did indeed steal) plus the low-key live set was brilliant. Bowman was indeed annoying but could have been worse.
I'd recommend the film to anyone with a passing awareness of Mr Cave's work.

I've just googled her. Radio 1. That explains why I didn't know who she was. Surely someone with a tad more gravitas would have been better. Stuart Maconie? Terry Wogan? 😉
