all the way through.
Was rubbish wasn't it? Jilted Generation was so much better.
Never listened to a Prodigy album
Its alright, got some good tunes, jilted generation was just too perfect
Funny you should mention that, I just took a box of old car cassettes to the tip this morning. Fat of The Land was right on top of the box...
Definitely not as good as Jilted Generation but not really awful either.
It was never going to live up to the hype that the two first singles built up for it but far from a bad album.
And yeah, jilted generation was a solid gold classic, listened to pretty much nothing else when I was 16.
Thanks. Currently waking the neighbours up with Experience. LOUD!!!
Dunno - this still does it for me. Different to Jilted but as good.
Fat Of The Land is a monster of an album.
Not just my favourite Prodigy album, but one of my favourite albums of all time.
Crank it up to 11 album. Always love it, but yes Jilted is even better, and Experience.
Now I want to listen to them all right now 😀
Both fantastic albums.
's good stuff. I had it playing as my weights music on Wednesday.
Gotta be loud...
Damn, I've been looking for a box of old cassettes..
Fat Of The Land is a monster of an album.
Not just my favourite Prodigy album, but one of my favourite albums of all time.
but it has got Kula Shaker on it...
prefer jilted generation, but fat for the land is also great.
I think Keith runs a pub near by.
Loved the singles from it, I've never had the attention span to listen to whole albums anyway.
FOTL was a different sound, it wasn't necessarily worse, just different.
I think it was the reverse of Jilted though, the popular stuff is a bit meh (overplayed or too pop oriented?) whilst the other stuff is great. Mindfields/Narayan for example...
I queued up outside HMV Richmond for a midnight opening in order to secure a hot of the press copy of FOTL.
Has some great moments on it but my tastes evolved over the years
Prodigy experience, jilted generation and fat of the land are all great imo.
After that I wasn't too fussed about.
I agree with squirrelking about the album tracks being better that the hits from fotl. Love diesel power.
I prefer Jilted but also it just seemed more sorted- Fat is pretty scattergun and sometimes it feels like a lot of polish on not much idea (they kind of really got into the groove for Spitfire on Outnumbered, but then fell off it again) But it's still great imo.
Remember going to Glasto bury that year, and picking up the album from HMV in town covered in mud on the way home. Got some odd looks.
