…the next days are going to be fun!

I’m Triple jabbed(7 days ago)had Covid last year so hoping dodge it.

12 year old has been in his room since Tuesday, oldest at 14 is from today in isolation, as is the wife.

Both boys and have rewritten the book a few times on being hyperactive both on medication for ADHD, oldest has said he refuses to take medication whilst in his room, he really hates taking medication which is another story. Youngest happy to take it, absolutely loving being in his room, online lessons, then from pretty much after lessons he’s online with his school friends who are also in isolation, though I suspect he’ll get bored of being in his room by Sunday.
Not helped that the boss is also got the lurgy.
Currently my new bedroom is the entire downstairs whilst they’re spread out over 2 floors.
Feeling slightly anxious about the what ifs of Covid,I could still potentially catch it, all three have the potential to get ill- all worrying stuff. Or just except the next 2 weeks will just be what they are and we’ll get through.
The eldest is a keen runner, his daily routine is 5km before school everyday, hes going to feel pretty trapped mentally and physically. Will FaceTime in the morning to chat about it.

Ah that feels better, and the bonus I worked out a plan for the morning whilst writing this.

Thanks for listening.

Only have one tiny bit of advice… keep all the windows open… keep it draughty… good luck!

Just mix it up. No point in keeping everyone apart if you’re jabbed. Daily LFT and socialising and if you don’t have symptoms or show LFT+ then head out when necessary and suitably protected. Windows open whilst the weather’s fine.

My 2 boys and me just had it, Mrs who is triple jabbed didn't get it. We didn't distance from each other.

I had not much of a cough at all but still have pain in my sinuses/forehead 14 days after +ve test.

I know it's against advice, but I'd not be distancing from my daughter tbh either.

Best of luck mate, sounds like you're doing well btw.

Keep the windows open, keep 2 metres apart and wonder how only one of you caught it without proper isolation.

Really random this current wave of infections.

Hope everyone recovers quickly, for all your sakes.

I think as a parent if any of my kids had it I have to take one for the team and help them regardless of age. It's not right in my head to distance from my kids/wife if they are I'll. Weigh up the actual physical risks against the mental risks to them of being isolated and feeling vulnerable.

This is what I would do not advice to anyone else

One of my sons had it a couple of months ago. The rest of us in the house were double jabbed. Apart from moving his toothbrush, we took no extra precautions during isolation, he even ate at the table with us and no-one else got it.

(Not recommending you do that but that was our experience).
