Hi folks,
Can anyone make a suggestion for a big 2-day loop routes in the Lakes? A friend and I want to ride for two days leaving the car and riding all day probably on a Bridleway over a pass or two, stay in a pub or YHA then ride back another route back to the car, ideally without a ton of hike-a-bike
We are relatively fit and we've done the SDW in under 9 hours (actually he did it in 8:58, I did it in 9:03, which he regularly reminds me of).
Has anyone got any suggestions?
Thx,
Rich
Pretty much any of the recent Jennride South Lakes 100 loops would suit you. Mostly rideable, all start from Staveley. Normally pass quite a few pubs and hostels.

Although I think a section over to Wasdale is shut for foresting of some kind.
The Lakeland 200 is another option, if you decide you do fancy some more hike-a-bike..

Good shout, thanks Martinhutch. 50 miles a day would be challenging in the steep and rocky Lakes.
The yha in Eskdale is nice. And the pub in boot has some tasty beer too.
