STW is a strange, strange place.

Were you lit up like a Christmas tree of in stealth-ninja mode?

Irwell Vale.

Cripes - bad memories. I did myself a right mischief there in October 2009 - on a night ride. I'm sure the picture of my "massive injury" will appear soon....

Well lets just say he 'paled' seeing where he'd come down in the dark in the daylight there was a sheer drop down somewhere he'd 'hooned' down on Monday night

This is what happened in Irwell Vale:

It was, R E A L L Y painful and I still have a huge haematoma above my naval. If my bar end plug had been absent, I'd have bled out and expired on the trail 😐

Good work fella. Night riding is ace, not least as the trails are quiet. Save for the rustling of ball gowns around Rammy, by all accounts.

my mate did a very similar thing to that in '91 derek.. no bar end plug though.. just long bar ends (it was the early 90s..) he didn't die as such.. but he did get a very nice trip in a helicopter..

oh how we all laughed at his misfortune... after we stopped being sick
