If that is what a retired theatre designed lecturer charges for lining a bus shelter with cut up pallets and some shop dummies then no wonder the theatre business is hacked off about the lockdown.

"In 2018 Mary was taken, in 2019 two shepherds were stolen and never came back, and in 2020 it's burnt down.

Seems they didn't take the hints...

I suspect the £10k is for the damage to the shelter.

Not how it reads to me:

I take it all homeless and poor people in the area were properly taken care of and then the 10K that left was spent on the nativity scene

I know it’s wrong but that second picture of the three kings is making me giggle. Waiting for the 09:15 to Bethlehem stables!

Blimey. That is fairly local. My brother drives past there 12 times a week, every week! To say it is a rural backwater is an understatement. Hard to believe there is anyone high enough on the scroat scale to do this. Will likely be bored kids, or maybe local young farmer groups trying to out-do each other year on year.

Quite.

Empty Christian imagery not actual Christian values are what's important!

So if you are a young farmer or a bored kid who petrol bombs things you are not a scroat? What are the qualifying criteria? To construct a petrol bomb, walk to the scene, light the thing and throw it from a reasonable distance away and then run off as the cctv shows is pretty premeditated. Not a drunk teenager kidnapping Jesus as he staggers home from a party.

You go to local websites and check comments and find someone saying it wasn’t a local probably someone driving through who doesn’t like Christianity and fire bombed it as a hate crime.
Bloody immigrants innit?

Your brother does.
The suspect list has just increased by one. It he a member of some strange cat-headed god worshipping sect?

I'm not religious in any way but I've been lucky enough to be in Italy one Christmas and I really liked the effort they put into the nativity scenes they have. Sad to think that someone would go to all the effort of fire bombing one irrespective of the cost of the installation.
