You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
37. Been pretty busy clearing up the garden for winter, so a fairly physical day.
To finish it off, I completed 30 mins yoga with Kassandra. Son 2 thought it looked like a piece of p!55 and joined in. His learning curve was very steep, as far as it went (5 mins).
Low lunge?
Nice ride up along Curbar, doing most of the Eastern Moors Loop.

A very frosty walk with Mrs S this morning

And then a (bit too fast) 13km run with the club this evening.

intervals.icu has put me into the "High Risk" zone - basically over-training. I really do need to knock it back a bit this week!!
38. Worked late this evening, so barely anytime. Just squeezed in a yoga vid with Charlie Follows. Not bad, but she’s very fond of a plank and downward dog. Me, I’m more of your corpse pose type of guy.
I was gonna head to the gym but the remnants of the cold is lingering (mainly airways restricted). Maybe tomorrow…
Beautiful colours up there @scotroutes
skateboard in lunch break, was just focusing on olies- can just about olie!
however light grey t-shirt bad idea as i was very sweaty coming back to work!
Took my drone for a wee walk, so was out for over two hours. A good wee leg stretch without a huge amount of exertion.
Duke of Gordon Monument on top of Torr Alvie.

Some snow visible on the mountains behind

Looking South along the Spey, which has calmed down a lot since last week!

The world looks great close-up too. Loads of fungi around at the moment.

Boxing circuits again tonight. Glad it’s only once a week!
39. Worked late again. So after a few chores I just had time for some yoga (Breathe and Flow) and stretching (Tom Merrick). Still being mithered by lingering throat/sinus goings-on.
Day 39 - overslept so no early doors training. Walk along the thames in central London 4.2 km in 48 minutes.

D39
Some sort of lurgy hit - I blame Zwift 😆
I think I'm out, I've been gradually doing a bit less so time to call it.
Still, it's got me moving a lot more and once I'm feeling better, I'll pick it up again. Just happy to be doing more than I was, which was pretty much naff all so it's kick started that. Thank you
Good luck to everyone else and keep going, well done
Dreich, damp, drizzly day.
I had some errands in the village so opted to walk in rather than drive.
Then out with Mrs S for another dip

Loch Pityoulish is now dropping below 9C so we weren't in for very long.
Lovely calm water though, with the Autumn colours reflected.

Day 40 - swim 3km in 62 minutes
Day 41 - overslept again, quite possibly from all this 100 day malarkey. Walked through central London 4 km in 46 minutes, but like pedestrian dodgems with all the half term visitors.

Food to hear what everyone is up to.
I've been on the usual pottering bike rides and on foot.
Yesterday was a dig day on some local trails sorting out some bad ruts and muddy patches. Managed a ride after to test the work.
Headed up to the lakes today, just a bit of a stroll on arrival but plans for some rainy rides in next few days.

Just about to go out for a quick walk after a very stressful 24hrs.
The last few days have been a mix of Zwift sessions and local rides but yesterday I went to Llandegla for their weekly Wednesday Night Ride. Always good fun doing a lap in the light, raiding the cafe then going back out for a dark lap. Was pretty busy too but my legs hurt a bit as I'm not used to doing 20 miles in one go!
41. Sad to say that yesterday was a fail. I had commitments all day including driving 280 miles. Although I tried to be active when I had a stolen 10 mins, I couldn’t get anything coherent done.
Not happy, but will continue with a blotted copybook.
At risk of losing track of the days but...
Day 39: club run
Day 40: walk to/from work
Day 41: unnecessary walking round Leeds (with daughter who's lived there for 2 months but clearly doesn't know her way around) - I was planning a run when I got home but my legs were battered from the walking so I'm counting it.
Day 42: lunchtime work walk
Tomorrow will be parkrun and on Sunday I may even ride one of those 'mountain bike' things I've heard about.
Day 42.
I've had a niggling headache for a couple of days, a bad bout of diahorea before bed last night and then been back and forward to the toilet all day.
I'm supposed to be running tomorrow evening so managed to sneak in a 40 minute "test" run this afternoon. I'm not sure I've learned anything. Skipped fancy-dress dip-a-day though , and there was going to be cake!!
So - still on track, but prospects looking grim.
Another day of long walking for me. 10k ish at work along the south side of the Humber under the bridge. Then another 7k walking to Morrisons to see if we could get my daughter a white t-shirt for her Halloween costume. We didn't get one!
Gonna start trying to ramp it up again from tomorrow, starting with park run and maybe a jump session at Leeds bike park.
42. An evening walk of 45 minutes, followed by 30 minutes Pilates with Nicole.
swinley with the kids yesterday, couple of hours but not full pace and loys of stops for pictures and sessioning
middle childs birthday today, so been crazy busy, forced myself out for 45 minutes on the skateboard at 8pm, really glad i did in the end!
Park run at oakwell this morning.
Garburn loop
Holy ****!
Did the 15 mile Illuminator Run at Banchory last night after last minute assurances from the organisers that the course was "wet but runnable". I have never, ever, been so muddy. Started by trying to avoid the puddles then worked out that running through the streams flowing along the tracks was actually the best for grip. Spent far too long mincing down the slippy descents but had a wee bit of a "sprint" for the last 1.5km or so when back on tarmac.
I didn't take any photos on the route as I didn't want to be faffing about with my phone in the rain, but here's a screenshot of my result.

Nice one Colin.
I went swimming this morning, managed 1000m in 34 minutes.
Then was having a nice conversation in the changing room with an 85 year old fella, who was telling me he had a hole in his heart and about his days in the army. Then proceeded to tell me how the kids have got it easy today, everyone blames the old folk for NHS problems because they're living longer, but because we don't have freedom of speech any more we're not allowed to talk about all the people coming in on rubber dingys who are all getting £200 a week or something....
I made my excuses and left!
Well done on the race @scotroutes
We are still up in the lakes. Popped across Windermere on the ferry and then did a loop back via coniston.

Weather held out

Parkrun yesterday. Walk today to clear my somewhat foggy head... May have had 1 pint too many 😳
Just back from a week away visiting family. Having no bike or anything else has meant that extended dog walks have been the order of the day for the last six days.
Can’t wait to turn some pedals tomorrow!
Been away next door but one to Comrie Croft. Amazingly did zero biking, despite taking bikes 🤷♂️. We were however up the fells every day apart from yesterday when we were splashing about in the River Earn for decidedly elusive salmon.

Got a nice accidental trout though.

Stunning part of the world and the autumn colours were spectacular

Oh aye30 mins of hill reps on the cx bike when I got home today. Penance for all the post-walk fine local ales from the last few days!
Another week completed, not much of significance to report other than Skills Park on Friday.
Another week of walking, some biking and the inevitable Tai Chi at home Is it good when a form of exercise can be described as "inevitable" ?
44. Gym sesh. I had to work most of the day and the prospect of having to wash my mtb after a short dark ride in the on/off drizzle didn’t appeal.
Good effort @scotroutes, and everyone else still going. 6 days and we’re half way!
Walked the dogs earlier under a clear sky and beautiful moon so when I got back I couldn’t resist a quick blast on the road bike.
Feeling much better!
2 hours on t'cross bike - on the road. Bike commute tomorrow - looks wet all week ,,,,,hmmm
Had to run again today as couldn’t get the mud guards on the bike. Feeling tired, but defo doing more exercise than ever. Rest days are a 30 min walk (often to the pub)
This is a great thread to keep focused. Keep it up everyone.
Sorry don’t know how to delete double post
Morning walking round that London
managed some yoga this evening too
take that hangover
28 mile round trip to see the folks this evening after work.
Mom had homemade scones so it was well worth the effort!
45. Just a fairly vigorous walk up some moonlit lanes and tracks for an hour or so with mutley, while son 2 was at football training.
I'm out.
No big drama or illness - I simply forgot to go out and do something yesterday when I was working from home and doing 'stuff' in the evening.
I'll still be going for 'club run' tonight and I'll still try to get out for lunchtime walks at work, walk to/from junior parkrun volunteering etc but I'm out.
10km walk round some of the lower summits I can see from my house.

Nice colours on a reasonably bright morning

Some well-fed reindeer getting ready for a busy season

Me hiding from the chilly Northerly

Long shadows in the afternoon as the sun's getting very low now.

Just a smattering of snow and frost in the corries

Mon night was gravel ride with the cycling club, and yesterday evening I thought I'd see what their Tuesday night 'training' rides were all about. Never done any group road riding before and it's all a learning curve...I learned I'm definitely unfit (well I knew that tbh) but thanks to the 4 folks looking after the beginner (me), I survived to the post-ride pint. Just. 😂 It's chucking it down today so a walk along the seafront might be my legs' recovery activity today.
give me POWWWWERRRRRRR!!
Bosh! 30 Mins of weights, bit of kata to warm down. Always feel better for doing it but the darkness is definitely sapping my vigour. Glass of high protein isotonic performance enhancing vino tinto incoming, once the kids are in bed.
^^remarkably accurate
managed a dark & lonely 5k run tonight, glad i got out before the rain tomorrow!

give me POWWWWERRRRRRR!!
