Wow, spectacular photos, looks amazing!
^It's a similar winter photo (of liathach) in a ken Wilson coffee table book in the late 80's that motivated me into hill walking, then climbing and winter/alps mountaineering.
@Spin
That Suilven trip looks fantastic. I was up that way twice last year, in decent enough conditions, but nothing like that!
Spent New Year in the Lake District. A couple of days of apocalyptic wind and rain were followed by a fabulous cold, clear day on the Langdale Pikes.

I miss the Lakes. So many happy hill memories from late teenage years...
With a Louise?
😉
a bit of pre-work snow tourism on Dartmoor.

In that first photo you have the "did I lock the car?" look.
I was actually out doing some off the beaten track bouldering today but the photos basically look like I was hill walking! A beautiful day on Liathach.
Crianlarich Seven yesterday. Quite a bit of up and down!

Right, so clearly I now need to learn another convoluted and unintuitive method of posting photos...

Just don't try Flickr - it just double posts everything...
A pal's last Munros on Skye last weekend. Fairly grim on Saturday but better for the last one (Am Bhasteir) on Sunday.
Stac Pollaidh - both summits.
A tad warm. Cracking wee hill.
Alligin and the Castles. Proper big mountain day, great scrambling
It's not so much the heat as the humidity that gets you. I don't think I've sweated so much for so long in years. Only about 22*c, but really humid, and due to light wind and midges, clegs, flies etc we chose trousers and long tops. Watching others get eaten on the descent made it the right decision - I even gave smidge to a french group who had no idea what midges were...
Up early and got off hill by 3.30pm, rain moved in by 4.30.
Brutal physically, but cracking day Grommit.
Those look like great days out on fantastic hills. The Am Basteir pics are really atmospheric too!
I'm very jealous of the recent posts in this thread. Had plenty of great days on Stac Pollaidh, Am Basteir and one on the Horns of Alligin in light winds but occasional 60mph gusts. It was pretty scary stuff.
Not been up any decent/nice hills for over a year due to persistent injuries. Hoping to get out next month.. fingers crossed
@thelawman - 👀
And WTF is up with images on this forum? Flickr or Labnol+Google just doesn't work...
Beinn Chabhair, Loch Lomond area. A hill I have looked up at hundreds of times living in the area previously, and have climbed pretty much all the major hills around it.
We've avoided it due to stories of the bog halfway and the horrid start. And the stories were truth. Youngest_oab and I decided it was time to tick off the last 'local' Munro.

We met a lady who was seriously cold (it was 5/6/7*c on summit with a breeze and she was in running shorts and t-shirt) - she would not take a fleece from us and headed down to Coire a Chuilinn the steep way. Hoping she was OK.
Lovely view, ace to be out, but not one to repeat in a hurry...
@matt_outandabout think I'll save that one for a very dry period then!
I've been trying my best this year to tick off some more munros as I think I'll actually manage to complete them in my lifetime even though I wasn't sure before. Had ten days recently staying in the van around Braemar which helped picked off 15 for the week and I'm back up now for two weeks picking off some so hopefully Carn a Chlamain tonight on the bike assuming the storms pass over before 5pm when I plan on doing it. Drumochter 4 tomorrow seeing as I now get every other Friday off work!
That is a lot of hills getting climbed - you must have thighs of steel or a high pain tolerance. I am now over 50 and tubby - and don't my knees and thighs tell me that the day after a climbing a hill....
Thighs of steel! I do feel pretty drained by the time I make it back home but when the weather is so decent it really can't be helped! I'm a mere 42 and my husband does keep telling me just wait til I'm 5 years older.
Black Forest walk

Stunning day up on the Helvellyn range on Saturday. 9 Wainwrights from Dollywagon Pike up to Clough Head completed. Could have done with shorts, t shirt and suncream rather than fleece lined base layer.
Low lying cloud to the west for most of the day with only the biggest peaks poking their summits above.
Didn't plan it but it was also lakes in a day fell run going in the opposite direction to us. Those people are a different breed of human. I was knackered after 1200m ascent, they were doing 4000m!
