I want to change the head unit on my vw t6 with a apple play compatible one that also supports the front and rear parking sensors.
One copay recommended me a alpine one but that was a grand which is a bit to expensive for my liking. Anyone have any recommendations?
MIB STD2 PQ is the OEM option isn't it? Quite a lot less than 1k second hand though you will probably need to get it coded to the van's VIN.
I just fitted a 2nd hand xav 3005db in my old t4 - it has single din at the back and double dinn at the front.
Was £200 - has carplay, dab, hands free and camera
Probably different sizing in a t6 or not?
Im not too sure if they are different size? Its not a reversing camera i looking for its the parking sensor bleeping image that im after
I think they are an all in one unit in T6's (rather than the split screen and head unit used in a lot of the cars). Here's one on eBay a seller that will code it as well https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/335567873635 . If you contact them and say what you have an what you want they should be able to help. Even the most basic head unit will show the reversing sensors.
I bought a replacement headunit (the in glove box part which you don't have) for our old golf from that seller and it did exactly as described.
Perfect thanks a lot
Moody YSM crops up a lot on some of the T5/6/Caravelle groups on Facebook. Not used but they have great feedback responses from others.
They look like those pluscentre one you can get for £250

I've had one of his for about 2 years now and its spot on. Think you can get them cheaper if you scour Aliexpress etc. Just be aware that a lot of the feedback I think is questionable - its the same people who pop up time and time again within minutes of a "what T5.1 headunit?" post with glowing reviews but who contribute absolutely zero the the forums otherwise. Seems a bit sus...
That sounds promising how much was it if you dont mind me asking? And did you keep the original car features

Off the top of my head, about £250. Don't quote me on this but I think it does retain factory sensors on the screen if you have them (I don't). But its plug & play, looks original (which I like), Android Auto & Apple Car Play via the wired connection (keep thinking I might get a little USB dongle to make it wireless) and bluetooth for wireless music & calls.
Forgot to add - if you want to search for it yourself, its listed as the VW RCD360. I don't think VW ever actually did an RCD360 but its a copy of the Chinese domestic market only RCD330 (or some random story like that!).
Did you have dab radio before they all seem to say dab through a app
