The XCO Women's race is currently underway with Terpstra leading the first lap, followed by McConnell and Keller.
The current gap between leading group and chasing group is about 8 seconds...
Terpstra still leading into the second lap. Will she keep that up throughout the race?
McConnell with a rear flat!
Terpstra is now 26 seconds ahead with Keller leading the chasing group.
Another rear flat for McConnell!🤦🏽♀️
Not having much luck today.
Terpstra still in the lead with a breakaway, with Stigger in second place 46 seconds behind and Pauline in third.
Mona Mitterwallner made up a minute in a lap and is currently sitting in 5th!
Such a shame for McConnell, not just two rear flats but also a crash in the rocky section in the woods!
Terpstra's lead into 4th lap has extended to 1 minute 8 seconds!
Mitterwallner is now in second place, having overtaken PFP!!! A strong climber indeed!
Terpstra into her last lap now!
Mitterwallner in the second currently, with over a 30 second gap from Forchini behind her.
Anne Terpstra takes her second ever World Cup win!
Mitterwallner in second after a remarkable ride! Forchini finishes in third, in her best ever World Cup finish!
Emily Batty finishes 10th!
Strong ride and a 12th place finish for Annie Last!
Mona Mitterwallner taking second you would have thought she won 😀
A great ride from Emily Batty.
Nice to see Isla Short taking 19th
Such a shame for McConnell, not just two rear flats but also a crash in the rocky section in the woods!
Shame for us as spectators too, as McConnell was the only one near Terpstra. A real shame for Rebecca, especially as some of the big names weren’t riding.
Flückiger won't be starting the XCO World Cup at Vallnord today due to a cold that he caught. He started feeling rough yesterday and hasn't been feeling well since. This has gotta shake up the overall standings, especially if Hatherly does well today!
Men's XCO World Cup is underway!!!
Korentzky leading at the moment, with a 10 second gap from the chasing group.
Korentzy still leading going into lap 2 with Sarrou and Dascalu!
Schurter's currently sitting in 10th, evidently having a tough day!
Sarrou is in the lead now with Korentzky, Dascalu and Braidot right behind him!
Valero in the lead now!
Valero is absolutely pushing it and the group have managed to drop Sarrou around the climb near tech zone
Schurter. currently sitting in 6th, is fighting to close the gap to Sarrou and Korentzky.
Schurter is now in 4th place, having overtaken Sarrou.
The penultimate lap is bringing in allllll the drama with Schurter closing in the gap to the front, currently only four seconds from the leader.
Braidot's performance right now is very impressive, seeing as he kept getting dropped and he kept coming back and keeping up with the front. He's right behind Dascalu, who's leading the race in this penultimate lap.
This is going to good... Last lap... Nino can get a top three I reckon!
Dascalu has attacked HARD into the final lap pulling a gap between himself and Braidot, Valero and Schurter.
BRAIDOT IN THE LEAD NOW!!!
Schurter in third now, having overtaken Dascalu (who's having unexplained bike issues at the moment)
Braidot takes the win!!!! Valero finishes in second, only 10 seconds back. Nino Schurter finishes third, Dascalu fourth and Sarrou fifth.
Great win by Braidot and an amazing finish by Nino considering his start. Feel sorry for Dascalu.
