They are not bad for a £300 wheelset but there are far better about for £450

I can't imagine many pay full price on Hunts, there's always a sale on. I've just copped a second pair of Trail Wides in this sale with 40% off (30% + the BF 10% code). For £300ish they're hard to beat IMO and going on a bike I don't want to spend any more on, but make no sense to me at their full £500 price - there's many great hand built options for not much more.

Sorry, can we because bit more realistic with our numbers. 30% off followed by 10% off is not 40% off, it is 37% off.

Just bought a pair of there 29" mtb wheels and very pleased with them. It was difficult finding non boost wheelset for my 2008 Santa cruz highball.

Keep the box - you'll need something to send them back in when the spokes rip through the rims.

Check them regularly at the 18-23 month mark to make sure you notice any defects. In my pal's experience they absolutely will not countenance fixing something outside of the warranty period, even when it's clear it's been happening for a while.
