I'm another Time pedal fan-boy, having clocked up many miles and years on them.
I have some Speciale 8s on my trail bike. Are the 12s the same platform, or is the 12 platform longer?
12 is a bit bigger
Thanks mashr
are they rebuildable? I stopped using Time pedals because, I think as a result of lower bottom brackets, I was running a pedal over rocks on tech climbs about once a year and bending a set of springs. It used to be the springs were held in with a screw and you could buy replacements but when I was having issues you could no longer buy spares and the pedals weren't built to be rebuildable.
I've been on shimano compatible's since. Time definitely clear better in muddy conditions.
Don't know if you can get spare bars but the ramp should be leading beneath the pedal which would I imagine make the bar less vulnerable?
I have destroyed 3 Time pedals (XC, MX6 and Speciale 8) in three years - they don’t survive hitting big rocks at max speed. Haven’t seen any spares available and am wondering if Sram buying Time pedals will result in redesign or new features.
Perhaps now that they've been bought by Sram the mainstream mags will admit their existence....

For me it's been pedaling uphill over rocks. Pedal gets dragged over and the spring at the rear underneath gets bent
