Fine actor and director and had many other interests. I think I'll watch A River Runs Through It, if I can find it at reasonable cost

Edit got it watching now

I watched an interview with Lord David Puttnam, who proclaimed that Trump hates people such as Redford, Hanks and Springsteen, due their principles being the exact opposite of Donny. Also Puttnam is saying that Redford was also an environmentalist and away from Hollywood led quite a simple, normal life.

As a woman, Redford was indeed very easy on the eye and a true filmstar.

Among the stuff I have read in the last day I saw he was elected as the Sewer Commissioner in Provo, Utah a role where he helped local residents secure state aid for a more extensive sewage system.

Lots of stars are active in politics but you don't get much more local than giving your time and energy to improving basic local infrastructure. No Hollywood glamour there.

I read that the wrong way and was trying to remember which film he'd played a woman in! 🤣
