Sounds like an excellent one... We're away racing that weekend otherwise we'd have been tempted.

28km, not 38km. Sounds like a good replacement for Dyfi Enduro. Shame its not 38km

Not in the Dyfi forest I notice. No camping and not much accomodation in Mach so not really sure how that's going to work. They seem to have forgotten that most of the appeal of the old Dyfi Enduro was the drinking the night before the event. And most importantly, will there be mugs? I'm not paying 30 quid if I don't get a commemorative mug 😀.

"This non-competitive event kinda replaces ye olde Dyfi Enduro with a more modern format"

Bit of a shame as the original Dyfi Enduro is/was one of the best event around. Especially when combined with the Mach Comedy Festival weekends. Since when did doing a big day out in the hills become old fashioned?

Indeed. The dyfi enduro was a challenge for everyone, and an unofficial race for those that way inclined. This just seems like it's designed for fat blokes on big bikes.

Was over that way at weekend and this got brought up. Some of its land owners permissions.

The Dyfi was fantastic weekend. Even if you weren't riding it was a cracking social event. Used to bring my missus

Dyfi valley has so much epic riding

Shame its not 38km

Course Stats: 22km / 750m Elevation or 38km / 1100m Elevation

Not in the Dyfi forest I notice.

Big skies and open countryside as well as dense forest and ‘enduro’ race lines.

We stayed at The Centre for Alternative Technology when we did Dyfi last month. Plenty of rooms there.

I enjoyed the old Dyfi Enduro and I’d probably enjoy this event too. Shame I live so far away. Bet they won’t have zombies handing out jelly babies though 🧟‍♂️

Sounds ace.
Sounds kinda like the ride I had on Sunday on win hill. Big climb up from hope with gorgeous blue sky. Dive down the trails in the woods for a bit then back out and up to the top and do the same again with different trails. Only I took a wrong turn which lead me down a rubbish descent to a long fire road type climb so I missed some prime trails out.
Being shown the best trails and guided where to go for £30 seems pretty good value. Shame I live too far away.

Thanks
Its organised by the Dyfi Moubtain Biking CIC . We wanted to show the best of the local trails in a managable event (not done this type of thing before) . All proceeds will go to local causes and to develop and maintain the local trails.

Come and do the 28km and let us know at the end whether you'd like a longer version next year.

I’m in the Dyfi valley this week. I’d struggle to think of somewhere other than Scotland that could rival it for the amount of riding on offer.
