A recycled bicycle tyre is a positive step in a world where so many written tyres are simply dropped in the bin without a thought. I'd imagine that demand for something like that in their home market would be pretty high.
Dissapointed that WYRM doesn't stand for "When you really move"
bravo Schwalbe. They will be my next commuter tyre.
Nice one Schwalbe.
Re the Cotic: Like, but not maybe for the reasons others might:
mrs_oab and I discussed that last week. She asked if we could have a bike with two rear wheels and a bag containing all the electronic and battery gubbins.
In ebike mode for a bigger day, everything goes on and plugs in.
In 'manual' mode, change the rear wheel and you have a few odd bits like torque sensor or routed wires left on the bike.
This was based around her current Marin - she was asking if an aftermarket kit would work, but also if we could remove it for local rides or days she felt stronger.
matt, here’s my Stumpy. I wanted exactly the same thing, takes me a couple of minutes to swap as I have a tyre and cassette on both wheels. I now have these slicks on the non-E set-up and a set of knobblies on the electrified. Torque sensor is part of the motor. Phone app speaks to the controller. Battery is lasting me 50+ miles on setting 2 of 5.
