Endorphin: Oh my, that is a rather good modernisation of a blast from the past...

Tilander: I like, but the *slight* kink the downtube is messing my fungs shiu around.

Here’s some special news for all Fort William fans – a new tranche of World Championships tickets is about to drop!

Loads of folk missed out on the initial launch – which sold out in super quick time – so we’re giving the best fans in the World a chance to be a part of the biggest cycling event in the World, with early access to this additional batch of tickets.

Me included. So bought Friday tickets, booked a day off work, organised all sorts to get there on Friday. If I had known there was another tranche for Saturday, I would have held off. GRRRRRR!

The Endorphin- surely the chain is going to eat the high chain stay? The original one has some protection tape there. The new one is dealing with bigger wheels, wider tires, so even less space to get the tube past the chain.

I know, what are they playing at? Feels like a ploy to maximise ticket sales on the less popular days before finally releasing all tickets for finals day? Not impressed.

Marketing, eh? The original Endorphin was complete rubbish. I have a 1998 Pro model, since new. Ridiculously flexy, with terrible RS Judy XC forks, it was awful in corners; the alloy Rockhopper that it replaced was better in every way.  I should have got the Sunn Revolt that the shop also had instead!

I remember a friend having an original Endorphin as his singlespeed. It cracked on the rear stays.

I love the look of the new one, but not sure what the reality of riding it will be. And as per drinfinity, the whole point of e-stays is to avoid having to squeeze tyre, chainring and chainstay into the same place. So having all the drawbacks of e-stay AND still squeezing a big structural chunk into that cramped gap is a bit dumb.

Phew, glad I went for the '99 RM Instinct then! Loved that bike. My brother still has it 🙂

+1 on that. Just looks really out of place.
