Is that the Angel of the North in the flesh?
Props to Zoe for keeping the stw crew sane!!
Could be really useful for my commute. Invariably I look outside, it's dry, get to the bike, starts raining a bit but not enough to worry, 5 minutes later the heavens open and now, while my top half is dry (raincoat) I didn't bother with the waterproof trousers (because of the faff) and my legs are now completely soaked. I now get to sit in sopping wet trousers at the office for the rest of the day. This would be amazing if it kept my legs dry.
Be good for a short commute or shops. Not so sure of my 10 mile commute.
Poncho? Sounds like they're saying porn show.
Shonky understanding of the nativity story there ... "I thought the Angel was the Star"? ... what an irreligious lot we've become .... mutter mutter....
In the 70s, a cycling cape was pretty standard. Used to be made of yellow plastic and cost a couple of quid. As a way of keeping dry-ish when cycling in everyday clothes they made quite a bit of sense.
Watch them all again, you say? Maybe bits of them, especially the bloopers in day 9. How often will I watch them? Every day? Mmm, not quite. 🙂
And a Merry Xmas and a Happy New year to all at STW, too. Here's hoping next year brings better things for you all.
Is that the Angel of the North in the flesh?
No, it's the Angle, silly... Someone didn't read the article 🙄
As I've entered every day I thought I'd go for a full house but it's something I'll never wear . So in the unlikely scenario I win it you have my permission to raffle it off and give the proceeds to Mountain Rescue .
+1 for the yellow plastic cape, did a 500 mile school cycling trip in 1970 on my sturmey archer 3 speed, it was compulsory to have a cape. We had energy gels, well a can of rice pudding at lunchtime did the trick.
There’s a fellow locally still using a cape on his bike
Perfect for Halloween

I had to watch it three times. The third time I gave it my full attention and caught the comment.
In my defence regarding the lack of knowledge here, when my RE homework in school was to talk about my beliefs, I asked my mum what religion we are. She very matter-of-factly said ‘you’re a heathen’.
A version of a cape. Commonplace in the seventies and probably for decades before, doesn’t have to be a technical fabric, plastic would be fine, fitted snugly over the bars and behind your saddle. How much? Add to the other cyclist related rip off products - tyres, brake pads, helmets…

According to the transcript the word "dodgy" appears once and Hannah at no point says the sentence in the question.
Now this is something I could really make use of.
I've been looking for a decent quality cycling cape for my commute over the last few months and this one looks ideal.
🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞
Happy Christmas to all of you at Singletrack Towers too, hope you all have a good one and a happy and successful 2024!

Yep, that's where I ended up.
Bonus point for spotting where the post-it note came from? Amanda??
Happy Christmas to you all x
I really want to win this 🫰
Nope, watched it 3 times and didn't hear anything relating to the question.
Ahh...cryptic, easy to miss
I think I'd want a clear one so as not to compromise my outfit beneath.

There's already a version of what Hannah was talking about 👍
