I don’t think I’ve ever needed to do a wheelie other than when I’ve been messing around in the street. It’s not exactly a vital skill when riding off-road.
Never needed one full stop. Still occasionally have a half arsed practise, then remind myself they are useless anyway.
I really wish I could hold a manual at balance point though. (I can get it up, to clear an obstacle).
Also wish I could do endo turns. I can do it in a flat carpark, but on a trail tight enough that one is actually needed? no chance.

Full Membergenuine question, what did you service on a rigid fork?
Must've been a Pace
Super Rider says this:
Wheelies have always been considered a "trick" or something to show off at the trailhead. But the real secret is that the basics of the wheelie can actually lay the foundation for a lot of advanced skills. Manuals, riding onto obstacles and drops all use the same basic technique to get started. By learning this one single move - you'll unlock multiple advanced moves. It may seem counterintuitive to practice something as basic as a wheelie - but it is more vital than you know.
Done!
First ATB was a Raleigh Mustang! Did all of the Peak District trails on it - couldn’t wheelie it due to the cast iron rims! What happened to Adventure Cross? Never ridden a trail centre, the roadies version is a velodrome!!

The colour grading is difficult. Black at BPW, probably not. Black at FoD, yes…
Yeah, grading is weird. I’ve successfully ridden every black tech trail I tried at BPW but the black flow trails are well beyond me. Gaps you could put a bungalow in!
