Just bought a tacx flux and I have a few questions!
I imagine that most folks will use the power from the turbo to link to zwift, but what if I want to use the reading from my stages instead, which I assume will be more accurate. I could do this with my old non smart trainer, but if I use it with the flux will it mean the resistance won't change automatically?
Or is there a way to use stages power readings and still have zwift change the resistance ?
Ta
It does work. On zwift connections screen theres a separate choice for choosing the PM and the Smart trainer. I used my 4iiii with the Flux adjusting fine last week.
Yeah, when you pair devices in Zwift you get to select a power source - which would be the Stages power meter for you - and 'Controllable' where you can select a controllable trainer, which'll change the resistance according to gradient. Should work fine.
The upside of this is that you'll be able to use the same FTP as a base for workouts as you would on the road. Currently using a a Vortex Smart and Garmin Vector2s on the road. There's about a 30 or so watt difference between them at 250 watts. As there's no consistency between the 2 it makes training from FTP a bit of a pain as you can only use one or the other, the Vortex's being preferred due to ERG when indoors, however most of my training is currently outdoors. Shame there's no conversion table or something available.
