I've tried this cassette with both a Shimano XT rear mech & now SRAM GX and then same thing happens, it will not shift nicely at all over the smallest 3 sprockets. I thought that it was the Shimano rear mech but now that it is happening with the GX too, I'm thinking it's the cassette. It needs two clicks to move off the 9T and then jumps around between the next two, another click and it starts to settle, between the 4th and 11th sprockets it shifts just fine.
£100 from ali express, so not exactly cheap for what appears to be useless. Should I try and run it in or... anything else? Anyone else had a 'bad' cassette from ZTTO? I've since got an e*thirteen 9-46T cassette (used) for the Shimano based bike and it worked immediately, didn't need to re-index or anything. Not tried the e*thirteen cassette on the GX setup yet tho.

Check your rear mech hanger alignment.

Also, how worn is the chain? A combination of worn chain + slight misalignment (+ possibly slight spec deviations) could be sufficient to give you issues.

cog

This is the 11t cog from my 11-46 ZTTO 11 speed cassette. Put it on in October, last year. Seemed OK to begin with. A couple of weeks later, on a ride to work, on a flat bit of road, I changed up a gear. A horrible noise ensued, which I thought was an alignment issue, as I had issues when riding in the lowest gear. When I got home to assess what I needed to do, I found that! Happily had an old XT cassette so popped the 11t cog from that on.

On the bike I'm building now it's a new chain and an old frame but it's doing exactly the same thing as it was on the other bike (Shimano rear mech) which had an old chain an a new frame. Think I'll take it to the LBS and see if they can get it shifting smooth because I'm done with it.

If anyone has an e*thirteen cassette they no longer need I'll take it because it works perfectly on the Shimano bike.

I have a similarly not quite right ztto 9-46t. I thought it was the 9t causing it being that bit smaller than the 10t and too much for the range of an xt mech. Anyway it came off and I was going to try it later with a sram xo mech. Although that one struggles with the 10t, so I don't hold out much hope.

@Yak - I was thinking the exact same thing which is why I went SRAM GX with this build, specifically so I could use this cassette (always been a shimano fanboy)! But when an e*13 cassette came up on here a month back I got it for my Shimano based bike as they say their 9-46T cassette is Shimano/SRAM compatible and it works flawlessly. I will swap out the e*13 cassette tonight and see if it works with the GX mech - just a pain having to swap over the cassettes as different rear wheel STDs

@Yak - fitted the e*13 cassette and it shifts perfectly. 2 bikes Shimano/SRAM both the same outcome.

E*13 pass
ZTTO FAIL

Anyone ever had any luck getting refunded from ali-express??

I've had refunds from an item arriving that was utterly and completely different to the label (a baby bed thing instead of brake pads???) I think they put the wrong label on the packet. Communication was excellent though.

I've bought a few small cogs on ali to extend the life of my 11sp cassettes - my commuting bike uses up the small cogs fast - and although they don't last long they are only a couple of quid. I've had one crack but nothing as bonkers as the photo above.
