i'm looking at a Salsa hardtail frame that requires a ZS56 bottom bearing (ie. zero stack).
i want to run a non-tapered fork in there which would require a ZS56/30 bearing set. these are a little thin on the ground to say the least.
can i get away with putting a regular 1.5" ZS56 bearing set in there and then use a Hope crown reducer such as this http://www.biketart.com/153801/products/hope-crown-race-reducer.aspx?origin=pla?kwd=&gclid=CLDU-OSuy7wCFdShtAodHi4Acg
thoughts?
all explained here
cheers... worked all that out.
does anyone know if the hope crown reducer is a universal adapter (ie. i can use it with a cane creek zs56 lower bearing set
cheers
The hope is universal but the cheaper option is a reducer crown race from crc for less than £4. Cheapest zero stack headset available when I was buying was the Gusset by the way.
