I keep getting ads for these in my FB feed. Seems like a good idea with a few caveats... Any thoughts?

I think they might zip off on the first fast gravelly bend.

Interesting idea - i guess its not that much different to snow socks/snow chains fitted to cars and trucks.
Worth remembering these look like they're aimed at commuters rather than people shredding it...

I'd actually like it the other way round - a smoother fast-rolling tread to zip over chunky tyres. So you still have a proper tyre for the demanding use, yet you have a faster tread that isn't going to melt at great expense when doing a local road/bridleway loop.
