Hi,

Wanting to make my CX a 1 x 10 setup. I want to use a clutch rear mech however. So, Can I use a zee rear mech (shortcage) with Shimano STI shifters (105, if it matters).

Thanks.

Karl

Different cable pull innit?

You won't be able to go fast enough to die, your gears will be chattering all over the shop...

nope, no current option to run a shimano clutch mech with road sti. 10s mtb stuff runs a different pull ratio to the road stuff.

EDIT: beaten to it

Older SRAM shifters work with the Zee mech, I"m using an x5 8 speed.

Maybe some sram roadie shifters have 1:1 actuation ratio?

Do SRAM drop bar shifters use the same cable pull as their MTB shifters though?
