I've realized that the Zee crank is a bit overkill for my use, and it weights in at around 815 gram including the 36t chainring. 73 mm BB. The SLX crank with ring is about 150 g lighter, plus If I get a narrow wide ring I could save more weight forgoing the chain device. I've already got a XT BB which I'd like to keep. The main reason I'm looking to reduce weight is having to carry my bike a lot, not to go faster.

What Shimano 1x10 speed narrow wide 170 mm crank setup for 73 mm BB would be good? SLX? XT? Which model? Open to buying used, not looking to spend a ton extra. Oh and it needs to be black ish.

Aand I went for SLX M7000 with a 36t narrow wide chainring. Keeping it simple.

Have a look on merlin's website. Pretty sure I had an email from them earlier saying that XT cranks are cheap this weekend

SLX M7000 is a very nice chainset.

So is the previous SLX FWIW.

Seeing a lot of snapped of slx cranks online makes me a bit concerned, but all of them seem to be the older model. I guess hollow cranks are more amenable to snapping where solid ones bend instead: no snapped zee or deore to be found.
