I have fitted a zee short cage clutch rear mech to my specialized stumpjumper 2010 and it works fine but I have just tried to remove the rear wheel and its a right pain in the ass!

I flicked the clutch lever to OFF but when I pull it back to allow you to drop the rear wheel and cassette down and forwards the cassette interferes badly with the top jockey wheel on the mech.

This happens ever though I move the chain to the 11 speed sprocket prior to undoing the wheel

Is this normal?? - it doesn't feel right to me.

Cheers

I can almost guarentee thet its not on properly. Check where the mech mounts to the frame, there will be a small 'block'.

Youve got it on the wrong side!

Let me know how you get on

Adjust the b tension screw a bit to make the rear mech move back a bit, out the way.

I've adjusted the tension screw as far as it'll go 🙁
I'll check out the 'block' situation tomorrow, thanks

Thanks j4m1e5,

It was the wrong side of the 'block' 🙂

Wait until something helpfully removes the clutch lever for you!

Getting the wheel in is now an art form 😕
