Hello All, I'm looking at options/ opinions for raising my handlebars and advice welcome.
my bike is 2017 29er yt jeffsy with origonal spec:
Handlebar Race Face Turbine, 35mm clamp, 770mm width, 35mm rise, 8° backsweep, 5° upsweep
Stem Race Face Turbine, 35mm clamp, 60mm length (L/XL)
It only came with one spacer, which ive used and is ok, but ideally i'd like the handlebar raised another 15-30mm or so.
Is it best getting a new handlebar with a biger raise in it? if so anyone done anything similar and recommend any?
ive seen stem risers but they look like a hazzard and a half
cheers
If you've got a 35mm rise already, raising it an additional 15-30mm is quite an ask!
I'd avoid a stem riser at all costs and look to do it purely in the handlebar, your 35mm clamp size might narrow it down a fair bit too.
Spank Spoon 35mm clamp bars come in: 25/40/60mm rises.

It might be worth getting someone to check your position relative to your intended riding as wanting a 50-65mm rise bar + the 10mm of spacers is pretty high.
Same bike op.👍
I've changed the stem for a slightly shorter one. That has the effect of raising my shoulders slightly. I found it helped a lot. I have back/neck problems.
I've got a higher rise bar to go on too but not felt the need after shortening the stem.
Oh, you could also increase the Pikes to 150mm to raise the front a little.
Get a stem with a rise on it, you will probably get a 20 degree rise on a 60mm stem.
If you went for a longer stem you will probably get a greater angle & overall height.
Try & roll the bars forward a bit, may also get yourself some additional height.
