I've made a point of not doing, it'd be easy enough to do, but I know its ridiculously high, I don't want to know exactly how ridiculous!

per year or for ever?

for me it's about £500 a year or thereabouts. Mostly stuff like cassettes, chains, tyres, brake pads. Occasional jersey, or shorts

Nah, a quick glance at my weekly wage slip usually tells me what my bike expenditure was/is (well, until my lads stated uni anyway 😕 ) - that said, I haven't done too badly since September, eh? 😉

i once told my grandad what i spent on my 3 bikes. He then told me what that was as a %ge of my annual salary. i stopped wanting to know after that!!

I added up how much I'd spent on three bikes for the insurance claim after they got nicked. That's depressing, especially when the claim ceiling is max-ed out and you're not quite at 50% of the valuation :boo-goddamn-hoo:

I think i have recently received order no. 106 from CRC. And that's after i changed all my details around 5 years ago, i'd bought a shed load before that as well.....

I decided in January to record all my bike related purchases and have all my receipts so far for the year. Made the mistake of adding it up last night and it was £3,200. It was a mistake to add that up whilst sat next to my fiance........ Last year i spent more as i bought a FS and HT (sold my Trance though to offset a bit) whereas this year was 'only' a 29er Inbred and Salsa Fargo (including lots of spare kit and bargain build bits).

I'm hoping next year should be cheaper!

Not that much actually. I tend to buy stuff like tyres, chains and cassettes on line, but pretty much anything more expensive I get through my LBS. They give me a good deal and I am quite happy with the relatively small extra I pay vs buying online in return for all the help and advice they give me

Since I opened my account with CRC back in 2007 I have placed 69 orders costing me a total of about £1000.

£2328 since 2005 over 36 orders... Yikes. Particularly worrying since that's nothing big (frames, forks, wheels, brakes etc) plus, I work in a bike shop 🙁

Not much to be fair as I tend to use Merlin or LBS

I added up my crc spending in Jan this year when we were moving house and applying for bigger mortgage. I was embarassed to admit to her that I had spent £1600 in under two years and that didn't include two fs bikes and a road bike!

I resolved to not spend money this year on anything bike related other than consumables, oil, lube, chains and from jan to September I spent well under £50!!!

Unfortunately that's all gone tits up though because in the last month I have bought, a new coil shock, a new set of lyrik u-turns and a new wheelset for the enduro. 😳
