You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
I took out my Wilier on Sunday for the first time since my accident, as I have been using my CX almost exclusively for my riding.
Anyway, I was SO impressed by how it rides. I flipping LOVE my bike.
Since purchase three years ago, I have upgraded: wheels (Fulcrum Racing 3s); bars and stem (integrated aero Deda carbon); seat post (FSA K-Force carbon); groupset (Campagnolo Potenza); chainset (FSA Gossamer 53/39), and it rides like nothing I have ever ridden before.
Had I have had more money, I might have bought a different bike - and will probably go for disc brakes with my next bike - but by upgrading, I have been able to do things as I could afford to, and now I have something pretty close to my dream.
Anyway, this picture doesn't show all of the changes, but it is a nice one nonetheless.
Join me in admiration, then show yours. Oh, and tell us a little about it.

Basically what he said 😀

My Solaris,
2 months old and without doubt the best mtb I’ve ever owned.
FFs, send pics when I get head round.
My t130. How it's got me down some trails I have no idea, but remarkably I'm still alive.
It's like having a pro rider whispering to you on the way down.
My SolarisMAX. first bike I've built from scratch and got it just the way i wanted it. Missed the last of the large frames in Feb so had to wait until late July to get one.
I also took advantage of evans cycle to work to get most of the parts a bit cheaper.
My Solaris. Absolutely this bike, it's the only mtg I have at the moment, but I want one of the Flare Max's up there.....

No idea how to embed images, but my Trek Fuel Ex. Rubbish photo and a very average bike compared to most on here, but had my first ride in a fair few months yesterday and still buzzing from it. Ride road in Summer so yesterday must have been first mtb ride for 3 months.
Was thinking of getting rid of it for a hard tail, but yesterday reminded me of how much I love riding it.
My Five29, Dated by modern standards but does everything these new fangled bikes do and I love it.

On the SDW this August. Hence taped up emergency bivvy and flap jacks etc.Lol
Jeffsy 29er carbon. Bought the frame secondhand with secondhand Pikes and shock.
I changed all 11 suspension bearings and both shock bushes. Pressed on new Hope BB etc. Totally rebuilt.
Mostly new/take off and second hand parts... Apart from all the drivetrain which is new excluding the cranks. GX care and mech, X01 (I think shifter).
Brands X dropper, of course with Bonty shifter. Better late than the ZTTO shifter I have... Imo. Hope Pro 4's on Alex rims. A new/take off from an Orange I believe. They and have been great.
It's my pride and joy and will be rested up soon for the Winter whilst I use my Bizango which is riddled with mudguards etc.👍

Post ride ferry waiting, supplies for the trip at the ready.
Two years old now but still brings a smile to my face when I get on it.
Got the frame (Cannondale supersix HM) for a bargaintastic £750 brand new (these normally retail at £2k) then scoured the internet for others deals to come up for the rest of the bike. Got a full DA9000 groupset from Planet X for £750 but sold the chainset for £200 (already had a Sram red chainset with a stages PM) finishing kit is a carbon DEDA set. The wheels are LB tubeless rims laced onto DA hubs. Weight all in is 6.8kg. A tour spec bike that cost me £2.2k.
Gotta love an Italian road bike SaxonRider!
And here's mine...

Took it out weekend before last for the first time this year! Ended up riding it Friday, Saturday and Sunday and doing about 135 miles across the 3 days on it! I'm not a roadie per se, but I'd forgotten just how much I love that bike. Ridden many nice road bikes over the years (previous road bike I owned was a Wilier Zero7 actually, pic below) but nothing to match my Colnago! Had it advertised for sale for a while cos I wasn't riding it, but glad I didn't sell it now...

And here's my Evil... Not had as much use this year as it should have, but just got back last night from a 3 day weekend in Mid Wales where it put me through my paces a little...

The perfect allround 29er trail bike IMO! Love it...

ps cheers to poopscoop above, my first ever pic post.
Loving the BRAND X frame.
Goes off to look if still available...
Mine and the wife’s bikes on the SDW above Cocking. The Devinci Atlas is mine, the Stumpy is hers. She’s had loads of surgery on knaxkered knees over the last few years so it’s been ages since she’s been able to mountain bike properly, which was a shame to say the least as she’d been getting the swing of enduro racing and doing well. This summer has been the first for ages that we’ve been able to get our off road together, has hit my mileage as I’ve been doing shorter rides with her rather than big long fast ones on my own but it’s been really fun seeing her enjoying it so much.

The best hardtail I've ever owned, helps keeps my full sus in great condition!
Cotic BFe

My home designed, giant fella compatible, chi ti LLS 29+/fattie hardtail. So good, so versatile, just an amazing bike. love it. Its done Swiss alps, PdS, all local trails so far this year and has resulted in my full suspension being donated to my son. I don't seem to need another bike (but do have a few different sets of wheels 🙂 )
Complete with large balding me for scale.
After swapping bikes / frames for many years, I finally listened to reason and sold everything to buy the one bike that I wanted.

Its a cannondale MT 800 but not much of the original bike is left bar the frame and cranksets. rohloff hub, big discs with hope 6 pots, 'zocchi z1 lite fork, thudbuster.
ATB/ruffty tuffty tourer/bike I ride the most (Longitude MK1 29er, rigid, full XTR, Brooks Pro seat)
I got it this summer, it had 60 dry miles on it. It came from a gent who sadly had to quit cycling owing to a botched surgical procedure. I’m coming back to cycling owing to long-term injury so it was a ‘handing on the baton’ kind of thing. Having had to sell my long-underused Vagabond in order to purchase this one it was a fair leap of faith that this would do the trick. I was torn between the two bikes. Maiden voyage pictured here was a solo camping expedition to the South Shropshire Hills. Happily for me it turns out it really is a great bike to ride. Neutral relaxed geo, running gear like clockwork, lugs cargo with a shrug, and when unladen is lightish and game for fun. A true do it all, and doesn’t look too bad in that ‘putty’ colour, in my biased opinion.

Liteville 601 bought as a frame only.
Started life as a 26" then 27.5/26 now full 27.5".
Gradually upgraded stuff and now on 12 speed XT, debonair Yari's, Mojo fire-sale X2 etc.
Can't come to change the cranks (with my custom 1x caps) which are now on their 3rd bike.
Seen me right for local loops & was a blast at Whistler a couple of years ago.
Had my MK5 Soul for around a year now and absolutely love it! My T130 hardly gets ridden, it's just plain awesome. I liked the BFe I had years ago but it was a tank and too small, this fits like a glove, is way lighter and I think it looks the dogs too. Just need the matching Escapade now!

My Vielo. Living in the Purbeck I rarely use much else nowadays. What an amazing bike. Road race bike on the road and 80's mountain bike off road. Road raced it, jumped on mtb trails, its great!
My Wreckoning, best bike I´ve ever owned and the main reason they see a lot less of me at the local pub. Started with the bare frame and built it up. Almost done...

Transition Scout. Had it a while now and it's done me proud. Few ardrocks and plenty of lakes riding. Think it's coming up to the time to change though, just to inject a bit of excitement. Built this earlier this year and as a result I'm enjoying road riding a lot more. I find myself planning road rides all the time. Full monty:
I'm out in North Queensland at the moment.
Enduring their version of winter 20-30ºC and more of the the latter than the former. I used to live about 50 metres from this spot.
Managed to borrow my old Giant Bowery back from my nephew. I've spent more time offroad on it than on.
Forgotten how unforgiving and stiff it is, after 70km on rough roads I feel like I've done a 200km audax, but it climbs beautifully.

I can't argue it's a 'nice' bike, but it's mine, I love it and it gets me to looks of nice places. The only weeks I can think it hasn't been in use this year were the 2 weeks all inc. family holiday.
patiently waiting for delivery, then I can take my own picture of it 🙂
Will be my first ebike, having recently sold my FS Anthem. Some health issues have led me to this, and the test rides on a whole bundle of them have been a revelation - wish I'd switched years ago !

This one. For those that know the Italian location 🙂
The brand I said I would never own one of again. Technically speaking, i dont own it, but details...
It was really good in the first place, then I got the chance to try something different with some gutted suspension & it's gone up another level since.
Yeah, it will probably crack, and the distributor will be as useless as usual, as will Yeti, but it's so good, I came home from Italy and promptly sold my big bike.

My Ritchey Road Logic. Currently probably feeling very neglected this year (along with my other bikes)...

2016 carbon camber with lots of nice upgrades. Had it 3 years from 2nd hand. More bike than I'll ever need. It's kind of a stumpy camber hybrid as it has 140 up front.

And my signal ti which I've only had a few months. Finally got it set up sweet though the rev fork could be better. It's seriously fast and stable.

My 2016 Trance 2. Nothing flash, exotic or niche, but a great bike that does everything I want it to do.
Bought this bike new in August 2016 and had a few upgrades made as part of the deal:
Changes from spec (in brackets):
Brakes: XT M8000 (Deore)
Shifters: XT M780 (Deore)
FD: XT M786 (Deore)
Bars: PRO FRS 780mm (Giant Connect 690mm)
Tyres: Nobby Nic Evolution Trail Star 2.35 front, Nobby Nic Evolution Pace Star 2.25 rear (Nobby Nic Performance 2.25 f & r)
Within a few months the wheels were changed for a pair of Stan's Arch MK3 on Hope Pro4 hubs. They made a big difference to the ride. Wider rims allowed me to run lower pressures and the wheels are stiffer than the original Giant ones.
I also converted the rear from 135mm qr to 12 x 142.
That's how it stayed for a year or so, until I bought a second hand Bird Zero hardtail frame to build up and decided to take the opportunity to swap some parts over and convert the Trance to 1 x 11. Now running an SLX M7000 chainset with 32T chainring, SL-M8000 shifter (iSpec II), XT M8000 rear mech and an XT 11-42 cassette.
Whilst looking for forks for the Zero I came across a set of ex-display Rockshox Yari 150mm and it wasn't a hard decision to buy those for the Trance and put the Fox forks on the HT.
I have recently bought an XT chain set for the Trance and the SLX kit will be going on to the Zero to convert from 2x10 to 1x11.

on the week up to Christmas. Norco Sasquatch. It’s a bit of a plodder, but it’s lovely to get out in the snow.
Five getting over excited (Pyrenees with Doug)
I’ll try again!
