Yet more evri shenanigans

My heart sank when I saw my latest order was to be delivered by evri but I got the email saying it would be delivered today.
This afternoon I got a text from evri to say they had tried to deliver but no-one was in. There was a link to evrIgb to rearrange delivery. It was of course a scam where you had to enter bank details to pay a redelivery fee!
It would seem that evri has been hacked, surely it's too much of a coincidence I get a scam event on the day I actually am expecting a parcel from evri.
Anyway yet another reason to steer clear of evri if you can.

Pity they’re the go to for big online retailers like CRC, sigh.

I've never had a problem with them*. I'm expecting a delivery from them today, the guy usually turns up about 9:30, I'm fully expecting him to do the same today.

*A return to crc went missing once but crc refunded me so no problem to me.

I'm going more with coincidence than them being hacked.

What's the true email address it's sent from?
What was the web address it took you too?

My workmate was sent a picture of his evri delivery left next to the bins outside his house, on bin day.....

It depends on who your final delivery person is.

Andy, my Evri guy is excellent. Knows his routes, knows his customers. Will deliver to the back porch if it’s raining and we’re out.

DPD Dave and DPD Local Katie are also great. Although I suspect Katie is off her head on Class A sugar rush. She runs to and from the van, happy, smiling, too much energy. Nice, but mental.

This happened to me on Tuesday! Luckily I was in at the time, and they just hadn't bothered to knock. It's not the first time they've done it, either.

Another time they just left it in full view on my doorstep. Which is about 3 feet away from the pavement. When I returned home an hour later, it had been stolen. As anyone would expect.

My mate has the best one though - they left a £1500 drum machine on his doorstep, not concealed in any way, in the rain 😆

It depends on who your final delivery person is.

People say that in every thread, but it's just not true.

Sure, the delivery person makes a difference, but that involves the parcel getting to them in the first place. And regardless of who your local delivery person is, it doesn't change the fact that you just can't talk to anyone if you do have problems with your delivery.

As mentioned here https://singletrackmag.com/forum/topic/evri-delivery-problems/#post-12576381  just email the ceo everyday and I used www.resolver.co.uk which also generated a response.

Been told I'll get  a Full refund for the goods £135 and the postage £7.28 within 7 working days , currently on day 2

Just had an email from Evri to say my parcel has been delivered and signed for - I'd changed the delivery to a local Parcelshop in an attempt to get it delivered after 10 days of it sitting in the local depot.
Went to Parcelshop and they have nothing...checked the track parcel and option and it has been confirmed as delivered - delivered to the sender!!!

Evri is the reason I've stopped using Wiggle and CRC. After a decade of 100% service, they switched to Evri and every one of my deliveries had a problem.

I've contacted Amazon to let them know the issue - they've apparently put a flag on my account to make sure Evri doesn't get used for any deliveries to me from now on...going to be an issue if it now just Royal Mail due to all the strikes!

Our local evri driver, who has been excellent untill this point has quit/left/sacked about 2 weeks ago & since this evri has been unable to deliver to at least three villages in my area - everyone on the three village WhatsApp groups I'm on hasnt received a single.parcel for two weeks and the tracking for all is as 'at the depo'.

A local managed to get through to the CEO of UK evri today - apparently theres a huge back log at our local depo and has a staffing issue.

I've stopped using evri where I can.

Ok, ok. so on Evri every thread. er I mean every Evri thread I defend them, say I've always used them, never had a problem.
Well, now I have and I will NEVER use them again.
First time I've sent something pricy (£800! frame & forks) and they've ****ed it. Picked up on the Saturday, hadn't moved by the Wednesday, Thursday I get in touch and the buyer has tracked on ebay: "damaged".
And that's all the info they will give me!!! I've phoned 3 times now to find it's being investigated.
How they could damage a frame & forks and make it undeliverable I can only guess. I've got someone local who'll collect it from them, but no word back at all. It's bloody stressful. (Luckily it is insured, but that's not the point).
Never use Evri again.

The reason I don't send anything with the  anymore is that I saw two evri (was then Hermes) vans 'sorting' parcels by throwing them between vans in a coop car park. Smashes and clattering of parcels were audible from the shop.

Oh and as an update to my post above, now several weeks on and we still haven't had a single evri delivery to the village and I have three parcels stuck (all expensive christmas gifts) as I didn't know who the carrier was before ordering.

I had medication posted from a pharmacy via them - never arrived.

Nicked, clearly.

They resent via Royal Mail - 2 days.

I’m going more with coincidence than them being hacked.

They said text not email. Phone number can be on the parcel.
I think there are some cases where phone numbers do get sold on by someone in the delivery chain. Had a couple of texts same day or day after a delivery.

My 4 year old daughters present from her Grandma got left on the doorstep of an unoccupied house down the road in the rain for 3 days. I only realised when another neighbour brought the bits around after foxes ripped it open and dragged it round the street.

Aware this is a bit of a resurrection (and it isn't saying anything new or different to anyone else) but...

Every order I've had from Wiggle since Hermes became Evri has failed, however, when I've contacted Wiggle, they've sent a second order out and both the first and second then arrive on the same day (not the same driver at the same time though!).

Anyway, after me contacting Amazon and requesting not to have items sent to me via Evri (and Amazon putting a note on my account to not use Evri), I thought I'd try the same with Wiggle, so messaged asking if they can send the item to me without using Evri and I was happy that if it took longer to arrive.

Got an email back saying they couldn't do that as it wasn't up to them but they'd let the Accounts department know. Anyway, sure enough, item been posted out by Evri and once again, the item has become stuck - according to Evri tracking it has got a delay on way from delivery depot to driver for delivery, but according to Wiggle's tracking, it appears to have been picked up from Wiggle, went to Evri main hub and then a Collection has failed, so doesn't appear to have reached the local delivery depot.

Have emailed Wiggle with the details to highlight that once again an order has failed to arrive when suggested and again asking for Evri not to be used. I like using Wiggle but if I suspect this will be my last order with them as Evri is just completely useless.

Sorry for the long winded whine...

My next day delivery is currently out for delivery after sitting in their depot for 2 days (from CRC). Idiots.
